Cordy is lucky that Caminiti will probably be suspended as he would be the one I would drop for Membrey.

I would drop Cordy anyway. His output with us is pretty on par with his previous track record where he is mainly below average, and then has the occasional good game.

Caminiti got sucked in by his opponent and may well miss due to this. Hopefully Caminiti will have learnt from that, for if Caminiti misses it is very poor timing with our next two matches being the Blues and Port.

With Cordy being below par, Caminiti was our one true key forward. Even if Cordy plays, it will not be good if he is playing as our one big forward.

Membrey back is nice (and Blues fans will not be happy as he has often ripped them apart), but he is not a true key forward, and Membrey would be more effective.

So RTB and Assistance to my mind need to get their thinking caps on.

Not so easy as while Marshall is good around the ground , he has never really embraced playing like a key forward needs too.

Campbell would be worth a try. I cannot see why he would be worse than Cordy, and as the 2nd ruck he would be much better than Cordy there.

Sharman is a chance, and personally I would have him over Cordy. He is only 193cm, but we have few options at present. And we need some better marking targets in our front half.

Keeler? Lacks practice, but he only needs to be better than Cordy.

Out: caminiti, cordy, windhager, (bytel)
In: membrey, campbell, Steele

Windy sub.

Bytel doesn’t have the speed or skill to come on and impact as a sub, he’s just a very good vfl standard player unfortunately.
Going to be one of those who can dominate vfl but not make the step up to AFL

Has Cordy really been that bad? I think yesterday a lot of players had a mare so prepared to give the benefit of the doubt to a few. But he’s actually been rather serviceable.

Wholesale changes surely not required. I like the message about backing them to learn from mistakes - members for hammer should be it imo

eh, just that i said it would be disastrous and hes not ready right before you said he was a chance.

I'll still be surprised, but it is a very exciting prospect to see him play.
Oh I didn't see that mate sorry. Just came in and posted.

I am surprised if he comes in too, think he would've needed more weeks in the VFL but the fact he traveled with the side to Adelaide is promising for him. Don't want to say too much but I think he may surprise a few, going under the radar I feel but I like that.

So we could go in with

Keeler
Pou
Windhager
NWM
Owens
Stocker

All less then 40 games
All of a sudden we have a good crop of young kids. Really exciting and even though we lost yesterday the fact that we didn't get blown out only increases the level of optimism I have about us.

SOS' experience showing early with bringing Caminiti and Stocker across. Couldn't believe Stocker is only 23, the way he speaks publicly is outstanding for a guy his age, but on-field he's been fantastic for us. Very composed, tough, good decision maker. Couple of great finds and shows it doesn't take much in terms of recruitment to change the direction of a club.

Surely Keeler plays VFL first

Membery was forced to play VFL, can't imagine Keeler coming back from injury slots straight into the 22.
Agreed. If he hasn’t played vfl I don’t want him coming right in for the real stuff. Let’s see how he goes in the twos and maybe he can force his way through.

Steele coming back as well probably means Bytel gets dropped back to the VFL and Windhager gets dropped to be the sub.

Good to have replacements coming back as we looked a bit weary last night, we need a light week on the track with Carlton having 3 days extra break.
The Port game is only a 5 day break. Need players to come back. As otherwise might lose the next 2 games Carlton, Port

Cordy plays another week given Caminiti goes out! Imo

Out: Caminiti (Suspended), Byrnes/Windhager (omitted)

In: Steele, Membrey

Bytel (sub)

Byrnes stiff but I think yesterday he looked out of sorts, Windhager does come to mind too as much as it pains me to say it, don’t really see where he fits at the moment and any midfield minutes he had (very few) are about to get even worse with Steele back in

No omissions.

Membrey in for Hammer. Keep it simple

Oh wait I forgot about Steele. Yeah I rather put windy in as sub and drop Bytel
