The AFL:
Lifetime bans now for spectators that do racist stuff!

Also, the AFL
How good is the big Tex Texy Texas Texan Walker going? Get around him lads!
Wasn't it great when some tosspot racially abused Rankine a few weeks ago and Tim Silvers put out a statement with a straight face that the AFC doesn't tolerate racism?

Not only is it morally empty, it is also a great example of the divide the AFL and clubs are creating between themselves and the common public. The double standard of punishment.

Hey Tex, can you keep a low profile and maybe even put on a disguise in public this week while the club makes a big public stand against racism. images.jpeg
No problems boss!

In short: Premier Jeremy Rockliff has defended his handling of the AFL stadium project, which prompted the defection of two Liberal MPs to the crossbench, saying he has been “honest and open” about the project.
What’s next: Disgruntled backbencher Lara Alexander says there is a chance she and fellow defector John Tucker will block next week’s budget if the stadium funding is not fully “explained and identified”.
Tasmania’s premier has doubled down on his plans to build an AFL stadium on Hobart’s waterfront as calls to scrap the multi-million-dollar project grow louder.
Organisers estimate 6,000 Tasmanians attended a “stop the stadium” protest at Parliament Lawns on the weekend, with high-profile speakers including senator Jacqui Lambie and author Richard Flanagan.
'I believe in this project': Premier vows he won't back down on Hobart AFL stadium

Public pressure shuts down the new stadium. Afl says 'no new stadium, no new team'. Compromise is North being sent south and becoming the Tassie Kangaroos. AFL stays 18 team competition. Has that been the plan all along?
The AFL's requirements for the stadium have always seemed over the top to me. So they've seemed like something designed to have Tasmania fail in meeting the requirements. So the AFL can handball the blame.

Or maybe its just the Melbourne-centric ridiculousness. Like how the AFL demanded that Footy Park be upgraded to meet AFL standards, while the shit hole Victorian suburban grounds were still being used without issue.

Legendary TV sports presenter Sandy Roberts has revealed he has incurable cancer. Sandy, who called more than 1100 footy games in a stellar media career, has myeloma. This has the lowest survival rate of all blood cancers and develops from malignant plasma cells in the bone marrow. It causes health issues including a weakened immune system, bone destruction and reduced kidney function. There is no known cause, or cure.

Tom McCartin now set to miss some time after returning from concussion after a two week rest, and experiencing headaches despite no head contact.

Something genetic?

Had a son with haemophilia, another blood disease. Sadly he died a while back as a young kid.

My uncle was a close friend of his going back in the old ADS7 days.
Very nice person is Sandy who got into calling football by being asked by the station at that time to call the reserves games in the SANFL.
Hope his time left is as comfortable as it can be.
