Maybe, however Jackson when down in the forward line causes them real headaches as they have been playing Rivers in the midfield. Their third tall in defense is missing and I expect that they may bring in Tomlinson because of this.Key match ups are: Gawn and Grundy vs darcy and Jackson, and may and lever vs Treacy and amiss.
We give up 200 games vs Gawn and Grundy and over 300 games vs lever and may.
We will have to play out of our skins to win this one.
We don't need to bring in a kid to stop Trac.Give Ras a run with role on Petraca. Could move Aish to the sub role or put him back in defence.
Back Ras to give Trac are hard time all game, would also be a good learning experience for the young bloke as Petraca is probably the best comparison to Ras as a player
In our dreams Ras turns out to be like Petracca. That is a very high bar.Give Ras a run with role on Petraca. Could move Aish to the sub role or put him back in defence.

Looks like Oliver's out. Out of 46 players on teh park is he the one you'd least want to be without?
no oliver and trac was playing mostly forward against port so he might not be 100% either?
if we keep up the midfield domination, id back our structures and movement to win the game. walker to shut down kozzi, hughes on fritsch?
should be able to mop up down back pretty easily, especially with pearce back in form.
In a perfect world (for us) we win by 200+ so Jackson's got his work cut out kicking 34 goals this week to be the difference. In a perfect world Jackson will make the difference on the weekend
Amiss needs those goals. Jackson can have the goal assists. In a perfect world (for us) we win by 200+ so Jackson's got his work cut out kicking 34 goals this week to be the difference.
You watch, Jye will kick 30 goals against the Dees but some Essendon player will have 120 possessions and kick 15 goals versus the Eagles and he'll miss out again.Amiss needs those goals. Jackson can have the goal assists.
Only way he'll get noticed by the rising star committee.

Get 'em greased boys, let Operation Yusef Islam begin!Sorry guys but we need to let Hughes hang around just long enough for us to have four 100 game milestones in a rowView attachment 1693507
I doubt they will do this. With Oliver out they will back our mids to win the midfield battle rather than trying to stop Melbourne's mids.Give Ras a run with role on Petraca. Could move Aish to the sub role or put him back in defence.

I mentioned it earlier, maybe we start with Johnson in the middle and Fyfe as the super sub and he can finish the game out rather than getting subbed off when we might really want him out there…I would honestly prefer Johnson to start in the guts ahead of fyfe. His in and under work in the middle with his beast of a frame for his age blows me away. Going to be a great player for the club if not already is. Fyfe will determine his own load but we got to fit Johnson in even at the expense of someone else
I must say, I think you have missed the key positive of the season - it looks like we might have a forward line. I don’t understand how it has appeared out of nowhere, but I am not worrying about that, just enjoying it coming in to existence.I'm at the point now where I think I'm going to be happy with the season whether or not we play finals.
We've got 6 first-round draft picks not in the side for various reasons - Chapman, Sturt, Brodie, Henry, Erasmus and Johnson (not starting 22). Worner, Wagner, Emmitt, Kuek, Draper have been around it too. Plus dependable senior depth in Hamling, Colyer, Taberner and Wilson.
If we start losing, there will be players worthy of a future-22 getting experience.
If we keen winning, we're finals bound and the playing group form more synergy.
We have the playing list that breeds success now.
They really need to do this, as I said before, Hunter plays 90% of the game on the field allowing their rotations elsewhere, it's a supreme effort and a real strength of the Melbourne side that such hard running roles (both wings) spend almost the whole game on the grass. To have to replace that player with another is not going to be as simple as the next one up, they will need to change their entire rotations plan.
Highly disruptive to lose either Hunter or Langdon.
