Without getting into the gritty details of the Clarko saga, but if he never returns, it definitely opens the door up at North.
Doubt North as their list is still shit.

Carlton then Gold Coast.

Ken will be sending Hardwick a thankyou perfect timing for him
... unless Hardwick takes Kenny's job at Port.

That is our worst case scenario.

Just on Richmond’s list - does Hardwick see the writing on the wall?
Yes.

Expected them to bounce back into premiership contention & now quitting as he has realised they can't even make finals.

Wonder if some players will follow him...

Once Riewoldt, Cotchin, Martin, Prestia and Lynch go.. which will be soon.. they will have to rebuild.
Grimes too.

They probably need to start a rebuild process next season.

I think Buckley is the type to feel like he has unfinished business.
Got to within a kick in 2018 and was unlucky.
It took the biggest miracle play in a GF to roll the Pies at the G.

That entire passage of play was unbelievable, Ive seen it so many times and it took something purely magical by several Eagles players to create that winning goal.

I think Petersalt above hit the nail on the head
With Ports midfield which they have absolutely prioritised over their front and back halves in terms of list building carrying them to numerous wins with makeshift forward and defences..they are only a Redman, Himmelberg and maybe Ratugolea away from really challenging..Much easier to bring in some decent journeymen key defenders and some polish of half back and al of a sudden, they are really hard to score against and have a rolled gold young midfield....hmm

I don't like the idea of Hardwick going there even more this year

Kochie will save us

Kochie will save us
I am being more philosophical here. We need another A grade mid or maybe 2 to really set us up as our front half and back half looks fairly set..I think it is much harder to land what we need to propel us right up the ladder compared to what port need with their 3 top end young mids running the show

Time will tell who if any of the teams gets to the summit
