They're good in second halves apparently. The last time Hawthorn had a goalless first half was in 2017 against us - they then won quarters 3 and 4

I actually think Sam Mitchell has the right idea tbh it's spasmodic & they have some shocking games, but when they play well you can see their future.. enjoy them being down because I don't think it'll last long.

My point was the Wingard / Butcher discussion in particular somehow mange to infect every thread. We get it, Chad was a star and for whatever reason he was moved on. Do we really need to re-litigate the who/why/what incessantly?

Impey is having a great year. Sadly Wingard looks cooked, he should try and resurrect his career as a forward at GC. Amon has gone back to what he was before last year. At any rate, Karl was too old for Hawthorn's expected age profile and rebuilding phase.
