Will will start winning, soonish
Nice.

You do know that this curse has sat over us since the fateful toilet incident and for a removal to work you have to put the curse onto someone else.

Who did you choose?.. JHFF, Carey, the whole *scum windy hill club or someone else?..

From the games Dawson played vs the games Bonar has played i would pick Dawson every time.

I thought he handled himself well the couple games he got.
I feel sorry for the prick.

I’m assuming there are a couple of players that Clarko must have seen enough of (via tape or early VFL games?) & has put a line through.
Until the weekend I thought Young was also on the scrap heap. Not sure how much of a say Clarko is having at the selection table right now though, if any.

Dawson, young, perez, bonar and hall all off the list at the end of the year. Thank *, let's start again.
Dawson was mid-season so it’s always interesting to see how those ones go. Often not good enough to be picked up previously but perhaps have had an exceptional couple of months in their league & stood out enough to be picked. More fall away into obscurity than become AFL locks.

Young I knew nothing about before we kicked him from the Dogs, but I do feel like his back half of last year has just evaporated & I was shocked to see him get a chance last week. Do feel like papers are stamped though.
Whilst he made inroads last season, we aren’t winning flags with guys like him playing league.

Perez, I don’t know what to think. I’d give him a 1 year deal or rookie list purely given age, supposed potential & the fact we will have quite a few others delisted/retiring before him.
Supposedly a great get when we drafted him, but I haven’t sat up & spat my beer out with anything I’ve seen him do.

Hall isn’t the future, but he’s been a pretty good recruit overall. Like Josh Walker, he’s been serviceable in a battling bottom 9 club & played some really nice football to contrast some really horrible football.
If there was an Aussie Rules version of the Moneyball or Major League movies, he, along with the aforementioned Walker, would be casted straight up.

Bonar has been 95% frustrating.
I do feel like if he’d been on a more established list / backline where he was taking the third or fourth best oppo forward instead of playing on somebody 10cm taller than him he could have been a weapon. Or even played more midfield time…?
We will never know. He’s gone.

...the trade price OMG ... IIRC was it Cam Mooney and three picks? There's a lot to thank Pagan for, but that trade ain't one

It was my hobby horse at the time and I know I've whined about it for years on here. Was terrible at so many levels.

Amongst other bits and pieces it cost:

Cam Mooney (who didn't want to go)
Scott Welsh (we on-traded the return for him)
Draft pick that became Enright
Draft pick that became Giansiracusa

For a guy who was never that good in the first place.

We both need therapy. So few of these monster trades work, Judd being a case in point. Probably Jeremy Cameron an exception

And we can’t even blame Brady Rawlings for it.

Well, if you actually listen to Gerard Healy during the '99 G F. call he tells us that we'll regret not picking Brady when Stevo runs off the ground with his torn pec. As you know Moon's went doughnuts during that game......................So maybe Brady's hands not so clean.
