Anyone thinking our players will develop better in a lopsided comp ? .......and the amateur nature of umpires, is the same as in the SANFL

That's what the eastern state's competition is called ......the VFL ( VIC, NSW, QLD)

They would rename it ......but that's what it is, an expanded VFL

Was curious so went and looked, most of the standalone VFL clubs are struggling, Coburg are winless, yet Werribee sit top, what’s the story there?

Except all AFL teams including the WA and SA clubs and none of the standalone VFL clubs

It appears out of a 22 team comp .....8 are stand alone, including Southport

I haven't read, they wouldn't be included .....that said, if not, does the VFL end up with a 7 team comp ?

I stand by the comment though, the reserves comp, full of young players, can't be of a higher standard than the SANFL ......it becomes an elevated U19's comp

I'm not close enough to know the full reasons .....maybe some players can't travel due to work ?.......pure guesswork though

That’s pretty sad.

Respect to those clubs for wanting to compete, but surely dropping back to the ammos and being really strong there is better for them.
