I'm just stunned we actually won the game. Jekyll and Hyde again, but l'm starting to think we just save our endurance for the last quarter, and run over teams. Not sure why l keep doubting us, as it's absolutely brilliant to watch....

That was a hard 4 quarter game so don’t think they had the luxury to save energy today. Carlton will be rubbing their hands together at the game we just played vs theirs.

Maybe, but don't over-estimate the advantage a soft win can give a team; Blues might feel great tonight but over confidence can be lethal as well.

He was quiet. A lot of his disposals were hacks off the ground because he was being tackled when he didn't even have it.

I wonder if Drew got credited with those tackles as well?

Lost faith a few times but after the last 30 odd game, I guess I should know better

Safe to say Ryan Gosling is the only Ken holding his head high this week

Stats say we won the clearances but god it felt like we got really beaten up at the stoppages and certainly center clearances (which we also surprisingly won). They really scragged us and denied us clean runs at it. When we did win it we were soooo unclean, mostly with the perceived pressure and not handling the conditions.

Port were very good. As has been mentioned - that was essentially their GF. They rested players, home ground, us not quite being up for it for 3 quarters, they executed really well, denied Naicos, denied us our rebound from D50 (with assistance from the weather), and still they could not get it done with some difficult games ahead. Apart from Billy, Tay, Steele, Beau, and Murph I'm not sure we had any other clear winners on the ground, at best some break evens and quite a few marginal or clear losses. But somehow we won, hats off to the boys, so good to watch!

If you actually heard him in the lead up to this game, you'd know what he was saying there was genuine. I really like Ken and in the lead up to this game, he was continually tipping his hat to us as being the benchmark in the comp.

He also pushed back when everyone was poking him about the Maynard comments; he lent right into it and said he loved the showmanship and passion from Maynard.

Don't really know what point I'm making, but yeah I like Ken, and he was full of admiration for us this week so I think people are a bit misguided potting him.

He was using it as ammo for his own team while using it to apply pressure on the Pies to perform. IMO that was not Ken being a genuine fella.

Seemed like a clear tactic. Let us be first to the contest, apply physical pressure, cause a turnover and feed it to the outside.
