I'm still stunned that testing isn't mandatory!
All the BS that spews from the AFL about how sacrosanct the head is, and testing after a head knock isn't mandatory 🤔
Yeah, you're really big on brain health AFL
When should testing be mandatory? The Aliir clash seems an obvious one but not all head clashes result in immediate concussion prognosis. Some head knocks seem innocuous at the time. Hickey missed a game because of a delayed concussion. Seems a fine line in making things mandatory.

Parker was suspended for a tackle on Walsh that could have caused a concussion type injury. Walsh played out the game and didn’t have concussion. So the AFL have made progress in trying to negate concussion type issues in player’s behaviour. They need a little more work with the clubs. The Port doctor has already admitted he made a mistake with Aliir in not doing the test.

Oh I don't know, maybe when the player involved is laying prone on the ground as Aliir was?

Yes it's a fine line, but if they were truly serious about concussion, whenever a player is obviously effected by a head knock, testing should be mandatory.

How GWS have improved this season with new coach Adam Kingsley

To all you f w's he hasn't signed anything yet, the story is that Mark Evans is going to Europe to meet him , as have some others . At the moment it's all the media and the offer backed by the AFL WILL BE MASSIVE

thanks carro

St Kilda have the exact same win-loss record to round 21 that they had last year, and only a 5% difference in their percentage. Yet they're 5th now when last year they were 9th at the same point. The competition is mediocre this year.

Agreed. It's a closely run competition, but the overall quality of the competitors seems down to me on a lot of the seasons over the last decade or so.
