I've had enough of all of these kents already.

Nothing would satisfy me more right now than drafting H.Reid and watch him kick a bag against the tin-rattlers.

And anyone else wanting to entertain splitting the pick in this massively compromised draft needs to give themselves an uppercut as well.

McKercher looks like a REALLY good player. But the AFL will absolutely help get him home when Tassie enters the comp.
It'll be interesting to see how the go home to Tassie factor plays out. Traditionally, 18yos with any kind of prospects want to get the hell out of the place, and only middle-aged lesbians who like arts festivals want to move there.

I grew up in Tassie and people who are willing to leave are usually desperate to do so.

It's pretty rare for people to move back.

Yeah but surely they’d be a bit of pride wanting to come home and play in front of friends and family and play for tassie new afl team.

For that love of god get rid of the poll at the top of this thread!!!!

Dunno what it's like these days but most people I knew wouldn't give up their team for a Tassie one, back when I lived there.

Talk like that will get your tongue cut out.

The further away from the siren we get, the more I’m snapping back to reality.

You need top top top end stars to win flags, the Dustin Martins of the world.

Really hard to get guys like that on your list from Pick 3, especially if the team picking above you gets two cracks at it first.

Unsure if the tongue was firmly in cheek on this comment given where Martin was selected

In any event. Reid is the Martin of this draft in terms of potential and gamestyle. Best we’re getting from here is Merrett or a gun KPD.

Both of which you wouldn’t complain about but from where we were only one of them is genuinely gamechanging and the exact player we need going forward.

If we traded away Reid for both it’s a different story but we’re getting one of them with North potentially getting the other two

Pretty cynical take. Maybe it worked for Dusty but true generational players, your Franklin's or Pendlebury's, or even a modern day great like The Bont aren't going to slip through another clubs fingers twice.

But Dustin Martin was pick 3 after Melbourne had two bites of the cherry
