I get the feeling he's lazy (in relative terms) in the offseason.
Always seems to struggle early and then play his best football in the last 6-8 weeks of the year.
Was also one of the ones singled out by the coaches for slacking off during the Covid layoff in 2020 (along with Frampton).
On the other hand we've selected him to start the year the last two years (including ahead of TT) which would tend to suggest the contrary.
With Himmelberg he reminds me a fair bit of Shaun McKernan. Good enough to be depth and play and give a decent account of himself 10 times a year (including a handful of games a year where he might play a significant role in winning the match). Asking him to do much more is pointless.
