Oh, it definitely is. Like the Elijah Hollands trade, for days all we have heard is how it’s an easy trade and will end up being Hollands for one draft pick. Then it shouldn’t need to take until the final day to be made official when we’ve been hearing that media line for 5+ days.

I think it's more that Carlton and Gold Coast are happy to do this deal last, after the picks from the other deals wash out, not that it's difficult.

That's what he's banking on...he wants to frustrate other parties into conceding ground in the negotiation.

We just need to hold firm, maintain a reasonable asking price, and it'll reach a point where he concedes a bit of ground himself. Especially if Coffield is now tied up in it too.

Suspect that we have satisfactory terms already established with GC, it's just that both clubs are happy to wait for the other deals (Dow, Chol) to go through in case something more suitable presents. If Dow and/or Chol don't happen, or if the picks involved don't improve the Hollands trade, they'll just stick with whatever is already on the table. No rush.
