is Steven May versatile? Alex Rance? Weitering? Andrews? Nope. Full back. Versatility is so overrated in my opinion.

It's all subjective I guess. Curtins disposals look just average to me. Nothing special.

the question on 170cm Watson is fair. And I agree on Sanders. If he was fast then I'd be keen but he's not.
Curtin has potential to go midfield. O'Sullivan doesn't. And Curtin's disposal looks very very good. Not sure what you are seeing to suggest it's average? He's not getting past Hawthorn anyway. I think the smart play now is to take O'Sullivan and hope Leake is there at our next pick, if not take the best winger in Windsor. Not overly exciting imo but it covers needs. Unfortunately that North compo f*d us from getting in that top bracket of players. O'Sullivan and Leake could be a nice combo though.

Incorrect about O'Sullivan.

The games i was able to watch the Murray Bushrangers this year they swung "Sully' into a midfield rotation and was certainly a starting on baller in some quarters.

His game against Eastern Rangers at round 14 where he played the full game as a midfielder and he racked up 25 disposal and kick 0.3.

I'm bias, but I've seen this kid up front for a number of years and especially this year, I think his upside is far greater then Curtin in terms of his flexibility. His forward craft is also another asset for him, where as Curtin started forward this year and was shifted down back after 2 games as he was quiet and didnt have the forward craft as what they thought he could show. That's not to say he can't improve on this.

But again, that's me being bias and I'd pick O'Sullivan over Curtin. Has a bit of campaigner about him which I like.

If I want to be really bias, I won a flag a couple of years ago with his old man who was about 40 years old and still winning league BnF's. Absolute gun ruckman!

Haha, very biased indeed 😂. At least your being honest about it.

From what I've seen there is no way O'Sullivan is more talented than Curtin but I appreciate why you have the opinion you do.

Jack Silvagni, Mitch McGovern, Ratugolea, Griffin Logue, Jack Watts in his day, Tom Mcdonald, Connor Nash, Josh Bruce, Rory Lobb, Lukosius, Casboult, Paddy Mccartin, Jake Riccardi etc.

Who cares if the guys above are versatile or not. It's like choosing Jack Watts over Buddy because Watts can play half back too.

Or is Tom Mcdonald better than Steven May because he can play forward too?

I think Curtin will just be an average-good afl player. No AA's or anything like that. A taller Troy Chaplin.

Just a tad lol.

Taking the bias glasses off then yes, on natural talent and ability Curtin is top 3 prospect.

I don't think O'Sullivan falls to us anyway. I know we've spoken to him a few times and done our background checks but Adelaide and GWS are the ones who have showed the most interest and even if he was at our pick 11 I still think we select someone one like a Leake or Windsor.

Surely you would have taken Watts over Franklin as the go home factor is too great to ignore :)

I love how hold me closer tiny Danster keeps crapping on about how the Curtin and Chaplin are the same constantly like it's a perfect comparison.

I don't see any of Chaplin. Chaplin was like a basic bitch boy player who did nothing but chip pass like a taller Salem. Curtin has far more attacking weapons and creative juices to his game. Some of the things he does for a guy his size is special, the way he manages to side step guys is incredible. He's more a taller mix of Pendles and Hodge who can play KPD if you want than a Chaplin.

I have a feeling that we might offer our 2 picks to North for pick 2 or 3 to take Duursma or McKercher.

Not sure they’d do it but I reckon it’s still in play.

It's what I've been hoping for all along (with something coming back to us), but I'd only make that move if it doesn't look like Curtin will make it through to our pick.

Trading two of Caddy/O'Sullivan/Leake/Sanders/Windsor for McKercher/Duursma and another decent pick I'd do, but not if Curtin is part of the equation, as he's in that top tier with those two.

Fwiw, I still prefer McKercher to Duursma, as he's more of a sure-thing.

Yeh I should have clarified that - I think we’ll do it once we are pretty much certain that Curtin won’t be there.

Personally I have Duursma just ahead because he steps up when the game is there to be won. Physically he has some scope to improve as well.

Would not complain with either of them though!

There are no sure things in footy

You know if Dan Curtin doesn't fall to us and Sully isn't linked to us how about, and this might sound absurd, Will Dawson who is a 200cm swingman.
He'll be a mid-late pick at best.

Perhaps if we use 42, but he won't go near our first couple. Long way off being AFL-ready

Tholstrup very much gives me Brent Moloney vibes, the way he moves and kicks. Far better grab than Beamer ever was however

Tbf we were lucky beamer could bring his arms close together without hurting himself or imploding the universe
