He was much better for them than I expected him to be. Sucks for the dude because they are good enough to B2B and he's already missed 1.

Sad for Harley but the irony is delicious.
No 1 Pick PLUS generational talent expectations etc PLUS the we're the Eagles PLUS the WestWankFest can only mean a young lad is going to try too hard too early and something is likely to go ping.
For him and for footy I hope this is a trivial setback on his journey to become the Dogs' greatest ever player.

Well tbh with you it isn’t ideal getting pings in your hammy at 18/19 years old. I played three different sports up until I was 17 and hamstring awareness never crossed my mind. I had bad ankles as a teen but that was triple jump landing issues.

I never had hamstring issues until I was over 30 and I was running flat out each preseason.

It is a concern and the club will have to manage him

My first was 32 years old. Couldn’t imagine getting them at his age. When you know you’re acceptable to hamstrings you tend to hold back a bit.

I liked your comment and then realised maybe you're referring to my post about 'delicious irony'??
My comment is not aimed at Harley or his injury, just the irony that the enormous OTT build up could well have contributed to the problem. Who would have thought that hubris imposed on a young man could be unhelpful?
