You sound like an extremely toxic person.
You can look at it like that. Or a ****ing top bloke who would give his shirt off his back to someone and not take shit. If you dont stand up for your team mates, then how can you expect them to put their body on the line on a footy field?

Team mates are mates and stand up for em, even if you dont like em.

Affray is a serious charge. Its considered more serious than common assault.

The one in the mask will be going to jail, it would have been an evidence and plea hearing.

The muppet in the red shirt was probably around.

Remember, the offences are for what happened outside the venue.

Thats what kicked it off.

Lol imagine thinkin Assault is more serious than Affray. Never been in a serious scrap ey champ?

To be honest, I thought affray was a minor charge, but now having looked into it, I stand corrected.

When referring to “assault” I was referencing common assault, more so assault causing bodily harm or grievous bodily harm.

Been in a few minor blues in my time… none of which however resulted in or even came close to charges, hence my lack of knowledge on different charge types ect.

Affray is a common law offence, not an offence against the person.

If Comben didn’t want to make a statement, then there is no victim thus no charges.

I remember watching an interview with waleed recently where he interviewed the judge that gave the long sentences to those Lebanese men that went around gang raping caucasian females in the early 2000’s.

He said, the number 1 aim of the “justice” system is rehabilitation. If that’s the case it’s misleading to call it the justice system.
The number one aim should be retribution.....

You do to me.......We do to you.....

That will get rid of these scumbags......

I get that rehabilitation would be the very best outcome but I wonder how much effort (if any) is applied to rehabilitation in these situations. A fine doesn't do much when the perpetrators most likely are afflicted with some degree of mental disorder which is rarely treated or even diagnosed.

Controversial? Probably but I would say most crime pretty much linked to some form of mental illness.

We don't have a system that invests heavily in rehabilitation, unfortunately. It is usually the fear of going to jail that 'corrects' people's behaviour. I think in modern times in Victoria the rate of people on CCOs that have re-committed a serious offence is under 2%, on that basis not putting people in jail seems to do a better job than putting people in jail given that 37% of Victorian prisoners reoffend within two years.

The problem when you go into prison is that you have to survive prison and from what I understand, it usually makes people worse than when they came in.

It is cold comfort to people who have been victims of crimes, especially the cases your post was referring to. I wish there was a better way to prevent people being victims, it is sad and it can ruin the lives of the victims and their families.

Fighting in the streets in general is for losers. Can't stand that shite, I've seen too many mates flattened to the ground after trying to be tough. I just walk away these days. Nothing to be gained except sore knuckles, a blood nose and if you're lucky a criminal record.

"Magistrate David Starvaggi fined Rawani $1800 and issued him with a stern warning"

After this low life piece of s**t physically assaulted 2 individuals who caused no physical harm.

The Australian justice system IS A ******* JOKE!
He wasn't the one that punched Comben in the club, nor JZ outside. Fairly sure this bloke was the one in the footage that "only" instigated/escalated the club fight by pushing CT and Comben.

The guy who was whacking Comben in the back of the head and then ambushed JZ won't be sentenced until next week because Jack is doing a victim impact statement.

He'll get fined $1900 and be issued a very stern warning.

Guaranteed he won't do any time for assaulting 2 blokes who weren't expecting it. Legal system is piss weak, doesn't protect the aggrieved.

He’s going to prison Rod. Or at minimum he’ll be on an intensive correctional order. Which is jail in the community.
