He had one average game in a year of excellent performances, I don't think he needs more match practise.

On the other hand he makes WA a lot stronger so it's a ridiculous disgrace they haven't told him to play domestic games and they're ruining him.

Apart from the Ashes, the SA tour he captained, the 2 months in India for the WC and the tests at home, he's played no cricket in the last 6 months. Need to make sure we're running a 32 year old with a history of injuries into the ground as much as we can.

Yeah that's a fair call.

Guess a Shield game was a bit ambitious but reckon a 50 over game should be ok.

He is fit and we just lost a test and he was average....if he is available and fit play in the shield please
Had a an excellent summer tbh so not worried about his that game. Personally think Marsh should be playing the one dayers and I don’t think CA would pull him out just for him to play shield game. His body has always been a worry so I don’t blame CA managing his work load.

A bit of chatter about Cummins' declaration, which I felt was a good one. But how's this for a stat? Only twice in all of Test cricket has a captain declared behind and won the match. I'm gobsmacked at that.
I'd be interested to know how many times a captain has declared when trailing in a test before. It's certainly the first time I've ever seen it.

Surely Cameron Gannon and Ferris Bueller's best mate are related?
