Speaks to our volume of depth when you still have the likes of Phillipe, Bancroft, Cartwright, Short, Agar, Tye and Behrendorf to call on who have played international cricket before.

But he's better than a grade cricketer which is what you're replacing him with.
Is he though?

He's 34, and he's not getting better with age. If there's youth in the grade system coming through I'd rather see them given a chance to develop than keep waiting for Stoinis to come good.

I can't say I pay close enough attention to Premier Cricket to know who's coming through, but if Stoinis is keeping an up-and-comer out I'd be pretty disappointed.

I guess it's a moot point as he's not playing I guess.

Either way, you're replacing 5 of your top 7.

Is it just me or does he give off vibes that he doesn't give a s**t?
Yeah really bad body language. The worst example was one or two games before the one in western Sydney (where he obviously had fun). Could just tell he really didn’t want to be in the middle.

Might be a good idea for him to take some time off or something

If anyone can explain the logic of Inglis opening ahead of M Short to me, I'm all ears.
Inglis is in the best white ball team already, so if he opens you can replace Warner with anyone you want. The team tomorrow would be better with them switched but thats not really the priority.

I think Head and Short is the best opening pair for both now and also the future. Which means Inglis should be middle order.

Someone really needs to be the adult in the room.

It's beyond the pale. Some poor bastard is going to be the one who hits him (probably finding some way to put his head in the way of an innocuous ball) and Puc ends up severely disabled and the bowler has to live with that.

I think it's already inevitable that Will is going to suffer detrimental effects in later life. The guy gets concussed sneezing as it is.

Pucovski, who played one Test in January 2021, has returned to cricket this summer after suffering 11 concussions and taking leave for mental health reasons in 2022.

"But only three of those were from playing cricket!!!" - people who think that makes a difference to whether he should continue playing sport for his own well-being.

I've had more than 20 concussions and whilst most were at the lower end it does have an impact on your day to day life and without careful consideration and planning would have greatly affected my business life.

My short term memory is shit, I have had to become an absolute master of controlling my emotions as they can flick on a switch, I have very, very dark emotional thoughts, I now get tired more easily than others and have nerve issues affecting the tips of my fingers and neck. It has also caused injury induced epilepsy and I am on medication for the rest of my life that is slowly killing me. It also ****ed my eyesight. I used to have 20/10 vision (significantly better than 20/20 vision) and lightning reflexes. While some of these things declining are due to my age most are due to repeat concusssions.

Luckily due to very good planning and more than a little luck I have been able to retire earlier than most and can hopefully enjoy a good/decent 10-15 years because If i had of waited till standard retirement age I would likely be dead or in a home. So full retirement at 52. This is the real reason I won't be involved with football clubs again. I have already done 1 year more than I promised my family and why I turned down the 2IC recruitment role offered to me by WCE and also why I decided not to be part of the application process to be the list manager. (A role much more suited to my skillset, qualifications and experience than recruiting)

Pucovski needs to retire and so does Gus Brayshaw for that matter.

I cant believe the medical panel cleared him a couple of years ago, but whats even worse is that the panel didnt put a caveat in place so that if he was concussed again, it triggered another review.

Had a look at last years cup winning side.

We've lost Inglis, Marsh, Stoinis, Hardie and Turner from our top 7.

Like we saw with the Scorchers, you just can't lose that many and still keep winning titles.
Inglis
Bancroft
Marsh
Green
Hardie
Turner (c)
Stoinis/Cartwright
Connolly/Rocchiccioli
Kelly/Tye
Behrendorff
Morris

That side would still win a Marsh Cup.
