He mentioned in the interview about working on his goalkicking as it wasn’t great this year, and the mental side of it. Said he’s feeling good about it so hopefully confidence in his goalkicking abilities translates into better conversion next year.Kozi’s 2023 was quite ordinary. He kicked more than 2 goals only three times all year at both VFL and AFL level. 4.2 against VFL Richmond, 3.1 against VFL Coburg, and 3.0 against AFL Brisbane. Lots of 1-goal performances. His 2023 wasn’t that much better than Miller’s 2023 tbh.
One thing going for Kozi is his past. His 2021 season in particular was decent. Not Lynch’s 2022 level good, but still decent. If we can get him at least to that level, then his acquisition would be worth it.
