Off topic but, I don’t mind the rd zero concept but a definite downside is having to manage players over a five day break with travel, heat, humidity etc thrown in. You want to be 100% effort and best 23 for all games.

The five day break was unnecessary but unfortunately our first game was never going to be Thursday or Friday. Channel 7 didn’t even show our’s that’s how interested they were.

Maybe us vs Carlton could have been Saturday night. Anyway, Bolton and Dusty doing plenty of mid time would be great.

Can Kozi ruck? Another ruckman that can take marks down the line would be handy. Dunno if 47 year old Naismith is the future and Kozi seems to struggle with the nuances of forward craft.

Balta in the centre or CHF. need his run and carry. I don't like it when he is stationary - we lose his biggest asset, which is his speed and power.
Lynch to FF.
Bolton to centre square. need his run out of the centre.

Balta is very Agile and is quick. Playing balta in the fwd line with lynch and kosi is good. Kosi and balta will get 2nd and 3rd best defenders, carlton are undermanned as are we.

TBH , the way we've been using Ryan (low TOG 50%). In a 2 KPF set up I'd go Balta and Lynch & Naismith off the bench

True but reckon their midfield will torch us unless Bolton, Dusty and co can stand up and be counted. Having nightmares of Rowells demolition job last week.
