Any more growth in him. I liked what I saw last night.* me, really shows what a big lad Curtin is.
How good was it that Dawson handed Curtin the Showdown trophy to carry around on ground... to soak up his debut win in front of a huge crowd.
Could see the genuine excitement Curtin got from that as well, loved itHow good was it that Dawson handed Curtin the Showdown trophy to carry around on ground... to soak up his debut win in front of a huge crowd.
Ken takes ownership. Rozee takes ownership. So, who is the true owner?
Agree, you are not a coward.... just a moron for thinking Rozee's hamstring had superhuman healing properties.
It must have been a magic night for Curtin considering all that happened in front of a massive crowd on the night. How good was it that Dawson handed Curtin the Showdown trophy to carry around on ground... to soak up his debut win in front of a huge crowd.
You sound surprised? Why do people keep defending Cook? He had 4 disposals in an entire game, whatever way you spin it that is just not good enough. Ned wasn’t fantastic but his game was better than that.
Decent team with Himmelberg in?..We are a decent team with him in now - decent, not great. We're a better team with him in than we are with Gollant or Burgess in. We're a better team with TT in. Those are our options, so there's not a lot of fantasising about what we'd like with some mythical player in his place.
He was aware of it last game…Oh dear.... not sure anyone has caught this yet, tempted to let the Port board know...
I've spotted Rozee trying to be subtle and stretch the hammy out less than 5 mins into the first Q.
He then feels his hammy, so you can bet he's aware of it THAT early into the game...
Footage is at 7.45 on the full replay

191-192cm…I haven't seen enough of him but there seems to be a theory he is not going to be tall enough to play a key forward role? It was mentioned that he was too similar to Fog?
191cm at 17 years of age, he might squeeze out another cm or 2 before he is done. Acadamy team has played Welsh as a key forward where he kicked 7 goals in 2 games, our SANFL team however seems to be playing him higher up the ground though.191-192cm…
Reckon his growing taller days are over too.. he’s a solidly built lad already..
He’s not a fog type.. fogs 195-196cm..
He’s more a medium forward.
Watching him in the SANFL so far.. he’s more mobile than fog..
He hasnt had a lot of it yet for our sanfl side but what possessions he has had have shown that the lad has oodles of skill and talent and a very good footy brain.. just really uses it well..
They should be throwing him in the middle for a run as an inside mid.. like I said, he has skill, talent and makes good decisions… but he also has some real speed about him too..
Make a solid mid/half forward out of him…
Plenty of time though… just nurse him through this year.. he had some back issues over summer.. no need to rush with him.
furious might be pushing it but it would be nice if the afl kept out of politics for mineGreat: Soligo, Crouch
Good: Dawson, Michalaney, Worrell, Rankine, Fogarty, Keane, Walker, Hinge
Average: Butts, Nankervis, Laird, Sholl, Keays, McHenry, O'Brien, Rachele, Curtin
Bad: Jones, Himmelberg, Cook
Terrible: Smith
Also; Was I the only person furious about that pre-match s**t about violence against women? WE HAD A ****ING GOAL UMPIRE MURDERED IN A MALE ON MALE CRIME THIS PRE-SEASON AND THERE WAS LESS FOCUS ON THAT THAN THIS. As much as I'm against domestic violence. Don't play the ****ing sex card. ALL PEOPLE CAN BE THE PERPETRATOR AND ALL PEOPLE CAN BE THE VICTIM.
The fact that Rozee and Ken were both 100% on board just further makes the point that it's a cultural issue down at Alberton.

It is important that we consider every decision by the AFC incompetent and evil. Are you surprised?
People are leaving this board in DROVES, it's probably THE most negative thread on Big Footy.
When mods stop caring that thread titles are changed to being overtly negative then you know the board is pretty cooked.
In that regard, Nicks learned from the best?Ken has had a lot more mistake making experience than Nicks though, to be fair.
We were coming off a five day break returning from Hobart…Yup. Even watching our ball movement in the early stages of the last quarter - we were in a full blown panic by that stage. Lots of long down the line and slow play and not looking to switch and attack. We did have some form of system in the first half - seeing we were cutting through the corridor and picking through Ports defense when we were attacking, but it got ground out of us in the second half.
I think that's probably the major concern at the moment - and it's been there all year. Take away the corridor and you strangle Adelaide's ball movement.
Just confirms both are morons... everyone knows you can't play within a week of doing your hamstring.
I said during the week I hope they play Rozee as they will be 1 short & he will likely to more damage to his injury... but assumed they were playing games with Finlayson a late change.
I really did not realise the Port selection were that stupid to think they have come across the 1st player ever to recover from hamstring in under a week

Cook started well with the goal over the back. Less than 2 minutes into the second quarter he had his third kick. Over the remaining 90 minutes he had ONE disposal. At the game I felt better about Cook than I've read on here, so will watch replay for that.
Fog was big. That fake / running shot on the left that only just fell short was Tex-esque.
Name me the last player who successfully played the following week after doing a hammy...The problem with muscles is that they can feel bad one day but feel better the next, even though they are aren't healed. So as a player I imagine he was icing, taking anti inflammatories and and then at training, putting heat rub into it. So having a light training, doing some minor stretching isn't going to really tell you anything. Its only when its really stressed will you know. Port clearly never put him through a fitness test, just gave him a light week no doubt in the hope he'd get through. Not to mention he was likely to have been uncomfortable with it.
It was dumb and the doctor told him to sit out. He is probably lucky that he didn't rip his hammy to shreds and end his season.
They are different types. Crouch is a contested ball winner where as Laird is the outside / loose ball distributer. Two different players. Laird is still a good Mid. just can't have him being your headline act. Which is what Nicks had. Which speaks more about Nicks ability to understand his players than Laird.
