Yea the point is we could've had him for peanuts.
If Stengle had stayed in SA there's a fair chance he'd be in prison by now. Had some bad influences here he needed to get away from.

Rioli is a druggie too if you wanna play that bullshit card.
Rioli smokes pot. Not in the same universe as what some of the Stengles have gotten up to.

As well as not going to prison during his camry days, after he was cut he managed to play a full season, finals & premiership at WWT without going to prison as well, I mean we are hardly talking Pablo Escobar here.

Many SANFL players only make about $5000 a year from their football, with marquee players earning about $25,000. This is in stark contrast to AFL players, where the average wage this year was $406,000

Odds on Nathan Krakouer has put more up his nose than Stengle ever has

He definitely wouldn’t have been any good at Port just like he was no good at the Crows.
Getting away from SA was the best move for him and it’s now paid off.
Anyone who thinks he would be playing like he is now playing for Port under Ken and living in SA is delusional.
From memory, he went alright in 2019 at the crows, before Eddie Betts left - there is a family connection there. His issues at the Crows didn’t really start until after Betts left.

When Betts became a development coach at Geelong, they rookie listed Stengle. He still lives with the Betts’ and Eddie’s wife is acting on Stengle’s behalf in his current contract negotiation.

There is no way Stengle will be playing anywhere other than where Betts is.

So as I said he wouldn’t have done any better at Port than the Crows and moving states has helped him ( being with Betts Family).
Thanks for that.

This is a fine viewpoint to have if you believe our indigenous culture is as poor as Camryland.

I'd have thought it's one thing we have done well & we have indigenous mentors in and around the club.. you back yourself in or don't bother I guess.
