All you ***** criticising us who still attend games can thank us now for putting the blowtorch on Hinkley and the club. We achieved in one day of booing what all you have tried to do by giving away your prime seats over the last 3-4 years.

;)
What an idiotic thing to be proud of. This is something we're meant to be united in, not trying to one up each other.

He/They deserved to be booed. That was the most limp, lifeless, lethargic performance I've seen live from us in 13 years.

Not allowed to vote with our feet and not go: ‘bandwagoners’

Not allowed to put a sticker on a roadsign: ‘vandals’

Not allowed to call for his ouster on social media: ‘lunatic fringe’

Not allowed to boo when his face comes on the screen amidst a 79pt home drubbing: ‘disrespectful’

Not allowed to leave early: ‘fickle’

So what are we allowed to do beyond passively wait for this guy to just decide he no longer wants to collect ~$700,000pa to coach this side to nowhere in 12 years?

If his ‘mental health’ is a concern he can always leave with the millions of dollars we’ve paid him and get some fresh air on the tools, if he’d prefer.

All the club wants you to do is to present your Port hole (wallet/purse)

Well, I suppose I could also mention being embarrassed year after year by our cross-town rivals, despite not making finals for the last 7 years, and his embarrassing celebration when we actually won one.

Or the constant rotation of assistants being made scapegoat for Ken's failures as a coach. Schofield, Montgomery, Bassett, Hart, Edwards, Lade, Hocking etc etc

The promotion from within that had nurtured and festered this culture of 'close enough is good enough' Hartlett, Chad Cornes, Westhoff, Matthew Lobbe, plus the planned succession of Josh Carr who has so far only shown to be another yes-man for Hinkley and is significantly underachieving with his midfield group.

Could it be letting one of the most talented players we've ever had in Chad Wingard, a 2 time AA at the age of 20 fizzle out in to nothing, eventually trading him for Ryan flipping Burton because it was all too hard?

How about the constant selection and gold passes handed out to players that are plain and simply not up to AFL standard anymore, or even worse never AFL standard, persisting with them far beyond their use-by dates? McEntee, Neade, Sam Gray, Tom Jonas in his later years and even making him captain!?, this year with Dixon etc etc

Carrying the 5 minute fireman to game 300 when he'd already mentally checked out, allowing him to retire halfway through the season.

Employing his own family members at the club with no experience or qualifications to speak of.

Running a greyhound racing syndicate with players at the club, clearly producing a gross conflict of interest and driving this 'clique' situation that permeates through the club, alienating certain players and playing favourites with others.

Laughing and joking with opposition coaches and players after painful losses, further showing his complete lack of care and passion for the club and highlighting his loser attitude.

Allowing young talent to rot away in the SANFL while trading in stop-gap hacks instead of developing and giving opportunities to the players we have actually decided to draft

Earliest I’ve ever left a match. Halfway through the 3rd. Watching Brisbane piling on goals at a nearby pub didn’t even bother me. I normally would be seething after a loss like that but this club has officially killed my competitive spirit now and the only thing to look forward to now is the inevitable sacking/standing down that is happening this year at some point.

I was actually somewhat enjoying the Brisbane tsunami of goals because I thought that might finally pull the trigger.

But it seems we are happy to let this drag on right to the end of this miserable season. No idea why, it’s so painfully obvious now this season is cooked and Hinkley won’t be here next year so why not get an early start on planning for next year.

Hinkley also has no shame and no care for how much damage this season is doing to his legacy. Yeah we all know he sucks but outside of port plenty still think he hasn’t been a too bad of a coach and apparently “saved us” but even the majority of oppo supporters think Hinkley is absolutely useless now, and people will remember how it ended more than how it started. You’d think if he has any self respect he’d walk away now before it gets even uglier than it already is.

I left just before 3/4 time so I could beat the traffic that was leaving at 3/4 time !

Koch has been in the chair since 2012, Hinkley has been in since 2013. The main focal points have been China, prison bars, and keeping Hinkley around. The barometer of success has always been silverware, of which we have had none for 20 years.

Are these the hallmarks of a club looking to build a dynasty? The club admin have put all of their effort into every stupid side attraction, have pandered to every group known to man, they've put more thought into that stupid song and it's all for nothing. Fans get charged through the nose for memberships, concessions, and merchandise - yet that isn't repaid.

Tldr; Port Adelaide is a financial failure and a sporting failure under Koch. If you disagree then go **** yourself.

I’m surprised so many stayed to the end of that crap,

Ridiculous that those that did and then booed in frustration are the ones in the firing line.

I felt like at the time leaving during the 3rd quarter was the best course of action because having a whole quarter and a bit of footy with empty seats everywhere was hopefully a good reminder of how much damage was being done on a day that was meant to be a celebration of the 2004 premiership

But if I stayed I probably would’ve joined in the booing

Ever the optimist, I choose to believe that DBJ is smirking in this pic because he knows Hinkley will be gone soon - not because he still loves the old coot...

DBJ would be smirking because he has stolen a living masquerading as an AFL footballer under Hinkley. Hopefully when a new coach comes in he will be one of the first players given the ass.
(1 possession in the first half yesterday)

Do you think the new coach may see the fans as a little too passionate? You know, given the 11 thread obituary to him lasting nearly 10 years on here?

I'd agree it's time for a change and probably has been for 2 years, but there is no way Hinkley has been doing anything other than trying to win a premiership for Port Adelaide over the past 10 years. He may not be good enough at coaching to do it, but it's nonsensical to think he doesn't want to coach Port to a premiership.
I want to screw Margot Robbie, the Rakuten girls and most Hong Kong soft pr0n actresses and I have about the same chance as Hinkley coaching a premiership.

Graham Cornes has come to Ken Hinkley's defence, so that's the whole Cornes mafia. We know we're on the right track then.

Hinkley says stupid loser things. He deserves it.

Once again a supporter asked the classic question "Who's out there? Who you gonna get?". Bloody hell, there's always somebody out there. Be it bad, mediocre, good. ****. If they're bad or mediocre, don't bloody keep signing them on, go get somebody else until you win flags.

How do these people think Collingwood found Craig McRae?

Do they seriously think they’d be better off if Buckley was still their coach?

nobody knows anything other than what we can see right now
His midfield despite the names in it looks like trash, for a contested ball winner he ain’t got much resemblance of that in his midfield
I pretty much got ridiculed by happy clappers a month ago when I said we'd finish 12th. Midfield looked fine then and is good now. Its not moving on players that is the priority.
