Tom Morris mentioned it allows them to promote Lambert or Lonergan to a senior role.

I would instead promote Steve Morris to a senior role & Lambert or Lonergan as the VFL coach.

I agree in principle. What we ideally need is 2 Morro’s, I’d had to end up robbing Peter to pay Paul.

When I did my coaching training at the local footy club the guy running the training had been an assistant to Teague at the bullants.

Said Teague would not include them in much at all. Would rock up with his plans for the session and run training across the board without telling them what the plan was ECT.

He was very good at development and strategy but not a good collaborator

Out of curiosity, why the animosity towards him? None of us know what he is like and if he has anything genuine to do with how bad we are, do we?

We penny pinch as a footy club. So I doubt we would target any good assistant coach.

Geelong go out and lure Rahilly back who’s viewed inside as the best assistant coach.

A good club does stuff like that. We about to promote a marketing guy as the CEO because, you know. We keep on Teague and Ratten who are simply Dimmas patsies and should have been gone at the end of the year last year.

This football club needs cleansing. Too many who are still bathing in bath water from that “era”. They will live on it.

Not questioning your claims TI (well maybe I am lol) but if Teague and Rutten are Dimmas patsies why didn’t he recruit them too?
It’ll be interesting to see where they end up next season.

Isn't Lambo a development coach?

But if Yze thinks he'd work better with someone else then we should make the change.

Our defensive structures are deplorable. That goal Pies got yesterday from a D50 stoppage where Pendles handballed over the top to WHE running into open goal was just horrendous. When teams go forward against us we always seem one on one or even out-numbered…. there no synergy and nobody seems to have any idea what the gameplan is. That’s on Yze and the defensive coach, which I believe is Rutten.

And as for our kick out strategy of short kick to right back pocket. Long kick down line. Nobody with the ability to take a mark down the wing and often oppo taking intercepts … we do it so often it can only be coaching instruction. WTF are we trying to achieve or trying to teach? We need to take some risks from kick out. Switch the ball. Run it out with some dare. Kick down the middle …. we are bottom … time to test things and experiment is now!!

The concern with Chaplin is that he would bring similar views to Yze across from the Dees.
I'd like someone that challenges the views.

Maybe, but ultimately what Yze needs are assistants that he can trust and provide cohesion.

It does make sense. Teague was no good. But if they don’t cut harder and get more resources into the footy department, they have done a disservice and this won’t even matter.

Amazing to go from the highest paid senior coach to cheapest and still not invest in footy department. Just like we went from experienced Fitness boss to work experience kid and made no changes.

Club is cheap. Think our “culture” will guarantee wins and not needing the best people. Farce.
