Richmond will want pick 2, its unlikely they would want to take all those picks in one draft, be a list manager’s nightmare.

Whats the best we’ll ask for 6 n 10 but will settle for 6 and 11. Might end up costing us a future 4th
as long as they don’t touch my f3

What's the best pick 2 trade down offer anyone has posted on here? I can't be arsed going through the last hundred pages since the end of the trade period..

Depends whether you're an optimist or a pessimist when it comes to what you expect Richmond will accept.

The case for optimists:

Trade out: Pick 2 & F2

Trade in: Pick 6, Pick 11, Pick 23.

The case for pessimists I can provide:

2 for 6 and 18

Either would be better than pick 2 straight up, imo, but that's a bit controversial.

You’d think it will likely involve pick 6 as a starting point.

If I were Richmond I’d be offering 6 and 18 and just holding there. Eventually I reckon we take it. Pick 10 and 11 are great options for live trading on the night, particularly for Essendon and Gold Coast if bids had been placed prior on their academy players. Ultimately Richmond hold the whip hand given the amount of options they will have with their draft hand.

Hadn't followed him much until that CTL finals game, but he was a cracker that day.

What's the maximum capital you'd be prepared to pay for him?

Seeing as Richmond are our only suitor for pick 2, I'm tempering my expectations for what we'll get.

But if we could add F2 into the equation, and got Hannaford in return, reckon I'd take that in a heartbeat.
His intensity is something we don't have, other than X and Wardlaw. If we get pick 10 or 11, I think that one of those would be about right, as they'll drift a few spots. I'm only guessing, as I don't watch much junior footy, but I'd be surprised if he went much past those picks.

Whether its good for live trading or not, depends how much richmond want 2 of the top 5 players. I suspect they want the two best available

Perhaps Konstanty could be the one who provides that intensity if he gets a clear run at it?

Two will be split, not for the return some think but I'm pretty sure it'll be split. We'd have a wish list in the top 20 so a top ten pick and one before 20 is fine. Don't think they'll be too bothered by the numerical return in this draft, very even top 20 and there'll be sliders.

They only have the whip hand depending on who they want if its 2 of the top 5 mids we hold it.

I'd have Hannaford more between 15-25 range based on what I've seen. He had a good finish to the year.
Teams that might take him...
Fremantle 14 (if Bo Allen is gone, I think they trade it out into next year perhaps)
GWS 15/16/21 (got Gothard/Jones/Bedford types already, do they need him?)
Port 13 (too early I think for him and I think they might take a tall at this point)
Tigers 18/20/23/24
Swans 19/22
Dogs 17/25
WCE 26

so potentially 7 or 8 easy calls including CCJ next year.

Yes. But would need good draft picks and trades/FAs to replace that many blokes in one offseason.

Nathan Krueger delisted.

Has the physical attributes, but just never put together a full season.

I know he peaked late, but he didn't even get a call up for the national combine, so I reckon that's a bit high.

Incidentally if anyone has his state combine results...

This is all I could find so far on Hannaford at the state combine

Maybe, though those picks will end up 13-14. Teams are starting to realise how important small forwards are and there are two standouts this year. If a team rates him, I think he could go quite early, similar to Gothard at 12 last year.

That's the magic of being an anonymous nobody on the internet.

I can hypothesise about what the club might or might not do until the cows come home, and it doesn't make a lick of difference to the outcome.
