There was a very seedy side show still operating in the early 1960's in Mosely Square at the top end of Anzac highway which may have been the remnants of the original Luna Park in Glenelg.

It was open during the summer months only and included such `attractions' as the bearded lady, the half man-half woman, and a strip show showcasing the delights of a stripper who went by the very original name of `Gaye Abandon!'
Apparently Ms Abandon strutted her stuff behind a white curtain and all that was visible was her outline.

Undesirables indeed!

I remember back in the 80's the car park wasteland at the end of Anzac Hwy was the spot to hang out, do burnouts and snog ya girl !

It was a wasteland, my memory of it from the 70's was this broad expanse of 3 or 4 acres of bitumen with a small KFC hut in the middle that was only open during the summer.

How come Ports don't sell tickets to concerts anymore?

I got my Bon Jovi tickets through the PAFC

Sounds about right

Both were big in years gone past but currently fronted by self important knobheads and really not that good anyway

Well, putting my almost 17 year old little doggy to sleep in a couple of hours. This is the worst thing I have ever had to do. Being the one to have to make the decision is about as ****ed a thing as I can imagine really. Even when people tell you that you are making the right decision it doesn't feel like it.

Nope, it never feels right. Sympathies to you and your family.
Try and keep the happy memories close.

For what it's worth from watching a few pets die at home you are doing the right thing.
