The Victorian suburbs where all 18 AFL clubs have their most members
The heartlands of Victoria’s AFL fans have been revealed, as more than 9 per cent of the state signed up as members this year ... and there are a few surprises........
The AFL’s membership record was smashed in 2024, with more than 1.3 million fans Australia-wide signing up — with 650,000 of them from Victoria.
Data obtained by the Herald Sun revealed most Victorian clubs — as well as those with historic ties to the state — continued to have strong membership bases in their traditional heartlands or recruitment zones, while others had expanded into new territory.
.......
Richmond had its most regional Victorian members in Mildura — the club’s old country recruitment zone which produced former captains Matthew Knights

Mildura was also where Port Adelaide had its second most Victorian members.
( no surprise there plenty of people have moved between Adelaide and Mildura and have relatives in both towns - Edit plus from the Riverland towns to Mildura and Port has had good support in those towns due to Russell Ebert, Bruce Light and a few others).

Melbourne's top 5 suburbs doesn't included Melbourne. Port are the only club that do have it in their top 5. Move to Melbourne get a flat in the city and don't waste time in Melbourne traffic, must be the go for a good number of Port members living in Melbourne. We probably have 1,000 to 1,500 members in Melbourne and Victoria, given Roy Morgan surveys say 3% of our fans live in Victoria.
