And yet somehow not even last.before we return to cricket chat, the glory men are possibly at their lowest point ever which is ****ing saying something. beyond dreadful start to the season
You got it mate. We're doing the Cape this coming winter then heading south again - hopefully we can catch up along the wayI'm heading back to QLD next year. Better have the yacht ready.
Works just fine for me up here in Onslow, life is good now - I see me kids everyday again.. the second kid actually gives me a hug alongside Mum this time when we say goodbyes at daycare.Even if a house came rent free, very few people would take up the offer. They tried mining towns in ye olde days and it didn't work.
Wasn't it changed to make the Perth Stadium test more relevant and make it an event to start the test summer due to lowish crowds. How true.A slap in the face for cricket in WA.
If they were playing a test they would have been here in all their glory.
CA are a very strange beast.
I read where the Indians have the WACA ground to prepare on for the opening test.
Why would the Australian selector, or CA, not have organised the use of the WACA for the Aussie team. The Aussies are apparently preparing in Sydney. Maybe that has something to do with the make up of the team!!!
Makes you wonder how CA came up with the idea of playing the first test at Perth Stadium.
Only ever been there once but I reckon Onslow is one of W.A's best kept secrets. Surprised more people don't visit there. Seemed like a great town, so I'm glad to see it thrivingWorks just fine for me up here in Onslow, life is good now - I see me kids everyday again.. the second kid actually gives me a hug alongside Mum this time when we say goodbyes at daycare.
Plus, it's nice seeing this place develop and further to that... being able to freely express a friendly demeanour to other people in public without being seen as having two heads. The community focus of the place and how everyone has kids themselves... infinitely prefer this to Perth where everyone is just struggling through life.
What better way to promote the "West Test" than to have the Aussie players here for a couple of weeks. And playing against the Pakistanis in the ODI. A great way to kill momentum for the game by having all Aussie players in Sydney.Wasn't it changed to make the Perth Stadium test more relevant and make it an event to start the test summer due to lowish crowds.
Taking away 1st test from the Gabba we have lost that advantage though as both Gabba tests we have lost have been in Mid-January not mid-late November where the pitches have more juice in them and it rattles the opposition which has them on the back foot from the start of the summer.
One of the lucky few. Onslow is ok, but would you say the same thing living in Telfer? It's a ye olde mining town that's long gone.Works just fine for me up here in Onslow, life is good now - I see me kids everyday again.. the second kid actually gives me a hug alongside Mum this time when we say goodbyes at daycare.

CA have been piss poor promoting the test summer for a long time. What better way to promote the "West Test" than to have the Aussie players here for a couple of weeks. And playing against the Pakistanis in the ODI. A great way to kill momentum for the game by having all Aussie players in Sydney.
The Indians will love having the State to themselves for a few weeks.
Crazy move CA.

Don't worry a couple more years of not winning it the level of shits given will revert to the mean.CA have been piss poor promoting the test summer for a long time.
There too busy flogging the BBL which no one really gives a shit about outside of you guys over in WA with the scorchers.
Christ, I'm envious. Was lucky enough to attend the Pearl Jam concert at Marvel Stadium tonight....was freakin awesome. Just wish they would come to Perth like the old days.
Love Pearl Jam. I play drums and back in the day loved playing their songs when in a covers band. Was lucky enough to attend the Pearl Jam concert at Marvel Stadium tonight....was freakin awesome. Just wish they would come to Perth like the old days.

Seeing Pearl Jam in 1995 at the entertainment centre was my first ever concert!I was paid to see Pearl Jam, back in the day!
1995, I think.
Usher at the Perth Ent Cent.
But have destroyed too many brain cells over the years, so I could be mistaken.
Have definitely been paid to see Rolling Stones at the old Perry Lakes, as well as RCCP & Post Malone at Marvel.
Great side gig if you can.

I LOVE hiking. This is me in Nepal a country every hiker should visit!Does anyone here go hiking much? I've just recently discovered the trails out in Bedfordale and Byford, and now I often go for a walk through them before work in the mornings. Yesterday I caught up with an old mate and we did a 12km walk just south of Serpentine. It's been so good for my soul.
