Camries customers can start watching Footy Classified again...

The battle of the TV networks has become almost as fierce as the contest for AFL premiership points, as Nine closes in on a replacement for provocative pundit Kane Cornes and Seven promises its coverage will have a sharper edge next season.

Former Adelaide captain Rory Sloane has emerged as a contender to replace Cornes on Nine’s flagship football show, Footy Classified. Two industry sources, who would not be quoted because no deal has been reached, confirmed Nine (owner of this masthead) had approached Sloane, who had earlier been in talks with Melbourne about a possible coaching role with the Demons.

Rory Sloane has all the personality of a lump of clay. Good choice.

I'll never forget when he said the Crows camp made him a "better husband and father".

A brainwashed, instituionalised company man if there ever was one, he will offer absolutely nothing but vanilla platitudes on a footy panel show

I can think of worse decisions by Ports - the ones that keep being repeated...

Port Adelaide: Playing two home games in China. (the third one was okay was it? and they were away games, so nyah)

Something we made money on is the worst decision? Clearly it's re-signing Ken Hinkley a bunch of times.

Resigning Hinkley, followed by Recruiting Ben Jacobs - we needed a Key Forward, Jack Darling was there and touted as a top 3 selection at our selection 16, even with all the off field drama reported we should have pulled the trigger.

Just to quote the article. Emphasis mine for the benefit of some posters.

The below responses came through most frequently from SEN listeners.

Yes for sure. Making money and building international relationships is totally worse than destroying the captaincy, not playing Sam Hayes, trading Houston for nothing, and repeatedly extending a head coach to the least successful run in the entire history of the sport while under no pressure to do so.
