I don’t think he’s a genuine power athlete tbh. He’s quick but not lightening quick and isn’t overly explosive. That said I’m not knocking him at here. With his size, endurance and the speed he has it will all benefit him. He just has to learn to find the footy and if he is to become a mid, he’d need to learn midfield craft.

F*ck man have you got mono or something? Been a massive downer for months.

Guy that came top 10 in 20m, running and vertical jump as one of the bigger blokes in his draft year isn’t a power athlete 😂
Yep reubs def has pace to burn, we've even seen glimpses of it in his first couple seasons.

The problem he's had imo is often being 2nd to the ball can be the most tiresome position in footy. As he gets more experience and comfort at the level and whatever role he settles in I'm pretty confident his athletic profile will really start to shine through.

Absolutely, what's with that? Why so late, they still have Gaff, Barrass, Darling on there...

It’s a league wide thing

For whatever reason, clubs don’t have autonomous control over their official websites. They can choose what stories, videos, photos etc to put up but things like the team list are out of their control

Check any club and their playing list is out of date. Billion dollar industry and something as simple as a current playing list takes weeks/months to update because AFL

Very odd, given as you say a billion dollar industry with at least a couple million fans and viewers eyes on the AFL sites. Is there some kind of settling in period for players lists, post trade/draft period?

That’s been my impression of him since he came across. Agile as hell for someone so tall. Still remember a goal or shot at goal he had for the beagles where he made something out of nothing like he was a crumber.

I remember pre-draft he was very good at picking up ground balls on the run and well above average below his knees in general for a tall. So much to work with

Ok, so it’s that time of year where the club inevitably release a video that someone is tearing up the track (bonus points if it’s a bunch of testimonials from other players).

It was Culley for a couple years there, Waterman last year from memory… and although we all know it’s actually Ginbey - they are likely to pluck someone else for this. My gut feeling is Hewett next up but they might not want to jinx it with him. My best guess is Hally.

Who you got?

Hall is looking yooooge. Could be him. Lots of the boys are bullish on Hewett. Flynn a smokey to get talked up again.

In fairness all three were looking pretty good this time last year weren't they?

I still think hall is not this preseason but another preseason away. Inside mid/distributor with great running power and aggression. Also a very good overhead mark.

Had Harvey Johnston come into my work. Had cast/guard on his arm. Not sure hiw serious

He’s only been wearing it for the last 2 weeks

Nice to see you’ve caught up

A vocal Baker is leading from the front at training. His leadership and intensity on the track is justifying the club's decision to do what it took to get a player of his ilk into the club.

or it could be a, In his 3rd preseason Ginbey is taking no prisoners when it comes to physical intensity on the track. Leading from the front in all training drills he is showing why he is a player to watch this year.

In any case it looks like he's started on Ginbeys gym program so hopefully he bullies the **** out of some oppo in the WAFL next season.

Appreciate the enthusiasm and hope the Baker thing all works out, but how about we wait till around rd. 6 onwards to decide whether his is on field performance is justifying the clubs decisions.

A teaser pony is super enthusiastic but you wouldn't pay a motza for one, just saying.

I was actually doing a fictional media quote, they won't wait until round 6 😂
