There's a name I haven't heard for a very long time!Jake Caton nephew of former Eagle Kevin Caton according to the Googles
Hello and welcome to bigfooty.
Thanks Keys that’s a thorough write up! I think I speak for the greater community when I say it’s greatly appreciated!
Glad to hear Ryan is still sharp as a tack! Anyone else catch your eye?
How're the new draftees looking?
Both Reids missing as far as you could tell?
According to the West Charlie Banfield was at training.

Yeah they are WC ngaThe article says Caton & Williams are academy players. It doesn’t say eagles academy although the next paragraph makes it sound like they are.
thanks, more talentYeah they are WC nga
Kevin ?There's a name I haven't heard for a very long time!
I don’t think he’s a genuine power athlete tbh. He’s quick but not lightening quick and isn’t overly explosive. That said I’m not knocking him at here. With his size, endurance and the speed he has it will all benefit him. He just has to learn to find the footy and if he is to become a mid, he’d need to learn midfield craft.Yeah he wont actually put on much more weight I dont think. He will always be big frame with a lot of muscle but it is well tuned plus he has a tank.
Bit like Natanui, he has the athletisim and muscle to carry a big frame and still move like lightning. Even in his later years he was carrying excess and after 2 knees NN would still sometimes clock the fastest peak speed on the ground.
That’s been my impression of him since he came across. Agile as hell for someone so tall. Still remember a goal or shot at goal he had for the beagles where he made something out of nothing like he was a crumber.Liking what I see from Archer Reid, quite mobile for his size
The club really needs to update it's listed heightsDifferent realise there was a such height disparity between Baz and Hedwards/Jamo. Also Hough just gets taller and Taller. Wouldn’t be surprised if he is around the 195cm mark.View attachment 2181755
Just updating to the actual players on the list would be a good startThe club really needs to update it's listed heights
Bailey - 201cm
Jamieson - 201cm
Edwards - 200cm
Something not right there
Guy that came top 10 in 20m, running and vertical jump as one of the bigger blokes in his draft year isn’t a power athleteI don’t think he’s a genuine power athlete tbh. They were really good for a few years at one point. They no longer have to list weights so this won’t be as tedious anymoreThe club really needs to update it's listed heights

Solid enough 90 minute session that again had a heavy emphasis on skills with no contested/contact work. Did a bit of running through the warm up but no extra running during the drills
• Didn’t see - Waterman, Sheed, Reid, Allen, Barnett
• Hewett, Chesser, Hutchinson and Kelly were doing stationary handballs for a short time - maybe 15 minutes before departing. Hewett and Hutch came back out at the end to do goal kicking practice with the rest of the group
• Petruccelle and Jamieson did a bit of light running early but we’re done after about 20 minutes
• Hough and Yeo did a bit of running work together for about the first half hour as they continue to build. Hough in particular was getting up to near top speed in some of his run throughs
• Duggan, Bazzo and Graham were both out there but skipped a lot of the drills.
• Ryan trained and his kicking was a feature in one of the drills in front of me
• Brockman and Dewar both made an appearance and did most/all of the session
• Long was involved for the entire session and did a bit of extra rehab work with a trainer as everyone else was wrapping up
• Gov trained for most of it and looked fine. Bear in mind there was no contact work
• Johnston did a big chunk of the session including some of the skill drills even though he still has that brace on. Spent the rest of the time alternating between talking to fans and running laps
• Flynn continues to look in good shape
• Cole did all the running but sat out the ball handling drills
• Evans and Walley both trained for the first time along with 2 or 3 other young blokes who I didn’t recognise. Walley looks and moves a bit like Dewar whilst Evans is like a marginally taller Champion
• Sandy Brock isn’t looking out of place and has a good marking action but he is pretty one sided on that left foot of his
I know he's one sided by does Brock have a long boot on him?Surprised how quick Brock is he has wheels
Was surprised about Jake Caton being part of NGA didnt know he was in it
Have watched him at East Perth and thought he could be draftable for next year
Tylah is a Swanny's boy and there best forward
There's a couple of subi Kalgoorlie boys that are NGA eligible that will be a watch next year
if they come to perth and play colts for subi could be a lot of riches to pick from
