This weekend the Notre Dame is reopened to the public. And don’t the pics look magnificent?
So many years of soot and grime have been removed from the parts of the structure that remained after the devastating fire of only five years ago.
I for one did not think it could be rebuilt, certainly not in the time frame they initially announced.
But the crazy barstards did it!
We visited back in 2015 and the place was dark and gloomy. Though full of magnificent artefacts and stunning architecture. I’m a non believer, but the place still moved me. From the pictures I see now the place is totally transformed.
My wife is also extremely proud as the spire was rebuilt in the city of her birth!
If ever you get the opportunity, pay a visit. Believer or not, the place is simply a wonder of the world.
