Also having spoken to the umps on the day, I believe Lalor were up 12 goals at 3/4 time. Lance told Lalor to have some fun in the last quarter, West told to play for the jumper.
West kicked the first 2 or 3. Lalor start to play the man. The game turned on its head. Trouble is only three or four...
Yellow card is 15 mins on the sidelines.
Second yellow in a match become a red and off for the day.
Can be reported on a yellow card, that is a minor offence.
A red is a report, off for the day.
Only officials were reported in this game, a runner threatened an umpire and was removed...
Having not been at the ground, I can only discuss what is common knowledge at the umps....The umpire did not have a great angle and as such paid a free kick, there was a 25m penalty then paid.
You are spot on you cant be penalised twice (ie free kick and 25m) for one infringement. It certainly...
It was Umpire Black that did the rep game.
While there is a division 1 panel, any umpires on that panel would be considered for the game. Wont be the same story come finals, the best will get the best games.
No I was not and my post is responding to Fattyslim talking about a different game....And I was not at your game either and yes you can get a free kick off the ball. I should hope everyone in football knows that.
It is fair to assume that the yellowboy, yellowman & whistleblower are all umpires.
I can confirm that both yellowboy & yellowman are neither the umpire that you talk of.
This has been high on our agenda with our coaching sessions and umpires should be further from play, to open up their field of vision.
Trouble is perhaps like clubs, we only see the top blokes and then some of the seconds umpires who come to training, coaching and lectures.
Under K.Smith the following applies:
A Div 1 - Panel of select umpires of rotate every 4-6 weeks into div 2
A Div 2 - Panel of remainder of A grade umpires who rotate 3-4 weeks into B grade
B Grade - basically whatever umpiring stocks we have left. Up and coming umpires get looked at and...
Completely agree. Also talk of trying to knock off Nth Heidelburg, who smashed boro by 80 points and Harvey kicked 7 or 8 last time around.
I hear the old words from the castle, "tell em his dreaming"
Completely agree. Have never seen a local game where a player can tap the ball from a pack to his advantage, then run on and kick a kick. He did this on several times! Absolutely deserved winner of Northern BOG.
Unfortunately Kade Carey was too big, too strong and too accurate from a set shot...
Clearly your mates on this forum do, as they are the ones asking questions!
Mate I couldn't care less about the name calling, I am not the person involved, again responding to comments/questions about umpiring. How about you read postings properly?
Fair call, only responding to a comment posted stating the umpire doubled up.
To answer another question: If the abusive is minimal, then a warning should be given. However, if it is serious abuse then a warning does not need to be given. Not being at the ground I can't qualify what was said...
Well said my yellow colleague. I would also like to state that new rules this year allow umpires to pay a free kick against the coaches for abusive language. There is also a 'grey area' that the coaches box also extends beyond the box so that if abusive is in the vicinity of the box, a free kick...
Been away for a week and will probably catch up in following posts from my friends in yellow but I can confirm the young man is from the Parade Umpiring Academy. He was umpiring his 6th game of football.
My esteemed colleague, as i understand it all league suspensions are handed over to VMFL or Football Vic so that when players transfer leagues their suspension carries over.
I know you can never assume, but its fair to say that this suspension would be carried over to the NFL and all other...
