Your missing the point here...intead of negotiating say 300 per game without any basis of result (ie. the fault of too many GDFL clubs) why wouldn't you say to a couple of GFL players on the cusp, how about incentives?We've seen too many times players taking for granted the standard of GDFL...

:) It's 2008 and yes you do have to spend cash to get somewhere or otherwise becoming defunct is a real possibility...making sure your spending it on the right players is the key....not sure on the $5000 though but incentive scheme is a good idea..One thing at Thommy is once players are there...

Yes Jetski...Think it will be very tight next year...Clubs all round need to get stronger and not be content (eg. Thomson not happy with 5th last year)....A few recruits will help but pre-season can't come quickly enough for the blokes - young and old.
