When someone with a cats bumper sticker cuts you off in traffic you automatically forgive them and assume that it was an honest mistake, instead of getting angry.
My Whales:
1998 Geelong Away
2003 Geelong Clash
2008 Geelong Heritage
Any of the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 Grand Final Guernseys
and finally any Australian International Rules jersey
I would be a very happy man just to nab one of these guernseys
Geelong's online store exclusively sold gold logo guernseys for the '09 and '11 premierships (for $150!), but for the 2007 premiership as they were the first team to wear the logo the club didn't sell replicas...
I got a long sleeve guernsey in those auctions and after a week I sent them an email (because I paid for express post) and a lady named Julia replied saying that she was away from the office on some personal leave and then there was a backlog of auction items to process. She gave me a tracking...
Not sure if I'm a fan of the 'cut-off' hoop at the top of the home guernsey, or the new collar, but I'll reserve judgement until I see the real thing on one of the players.
Here is a close up photo of the front and back:
I'm a bit disappointed to be honest because I was expecting the premiers logo to be sublimated but it looks like they have just stuck the logo onto a 2011 player issue long sleeve.
Just acquired the first PI's of my collection:
2012 Gold Coast #14 Matthew Warnock player worn
2012 Geelong #20 Steve Johnson long sleeve player issue (with printed gold premiers logo)
Rest of collection:
Geelong 150 Years retail
Geelong 2007 Premiers guernsey
Geelong 2009 Premiers...
This was posted on the Graphic Design board tonight. Looks like you guys will be joining the trend in new logos.
It has been registered by the AFL with IP Australia and can be found through ATMOSS.
I posted this on a thread on the Footy Graphic Design board.
I'm not a fan of Lauderdale's new home guernsey and I think that the club missed an opportunity to design a guernsey that was unique and recognisable. Seeing as there is a slim to none chance of going back to the cats I thought it...
My local club: Lauderdale Bombers
Last year they went from wearing the "Essendon" sash-strip to this eyesore:
Prior to 2004 they were known as the Lauderdale Cats and wear a blue and white hooped guernsey as a clash or for the past-players tribute game:
Because I'm not a fan of their...
Best hostel I stayed in was The Riverhouse in Cardiff, smallish but had everything you want in a hostel, it even had free cider night!
Worst hostel hands down is Piccadilly Backpackers in London. It had a horrible, cold, lunatic asylum vibe about it and was pretty much just a bed factory. The...
These were the three clash strip options that Geelong made available on their website for fans to choose from for the 2007 season. Obviously the middle one was selected over the other two.
I think the right choice was made. The one on the left looks like a training guernsey and the one on the...
Re: Where will you watch the Grand Final from?
Will be watching it in a sports bar in Prague, Czech Republic with some mates and the girlfriend. Lucky one of my mates is bringing my guernsey over so I can still fly the colours!
I'm in the same boat, I will be in Austria when the Prelim is on. But a few weeks ago I was in Turkey and happened to wander past an English Pub in Istanbul just as they were showing the Geelong vs. Collingwood rd 24 game live.
It wasn't being shown on Eurosport 2 but it turned out that the...
I know this is the wrong spot for this but I am so pumped and nervously excited for the game today. The only problem is that I'm currently in Sofia, Bulgaria and there isn't much chance of catching the game at a pub because Eurosport 2 aren't showing it.
Does anyone know of any good live...
Have you been using the black background one that looks like this?
I created it sometime after the granny last year, but now sadly only a year on its already out of date with Harley, The Caveman and Judas on there... I might be able to whip up a quick one with the logos etc. I'll see how I go...
Re: Will the Collingwood vs St Kilda Grand Final crowd surpass the Hawthorn-Geelong Grand Final Crow
I read somewhere that the actually capacity is around 100,018 so if it goes over that then it will be an overcrowd, but non the less I think it will still get over that mark.
Recent research has shown that empirical evidence for globalisation of corporate innovation is very limited and as a corollary the market for technologies is shrinking. As a world leader, it's important for America to provide systematic research grants for our scientists. I believe strongly...
