Still only 22.
I just assumed he would have been at least 23 or 24. He's definitely worth persisting with with the talent he has, but the amount of soft tissue problems Cocky has had really worries me.
I agree having a senior assistant from another club would be nice. Boris and Scarlett will always be club legends, but we kind of found success going with a coach from outside in Scott's first years then we went away from that (Matthew Knights doesn't count).
I'd like to see Stanley start in the ruck to begin the season and Fort work his way in if he's in form. Fort is the future and will do more around the ground than Smith or Abbott. He's also got that extra bit of height and reach over Stanley and Abbott.
How many picks are we taking into the draft? On top of the six we delisted we may lose Kelly, Horlin-Smith, McCarthy, Smith, Menzel, Murdoch and Thurlow. That's a hell of a lot of players gone.
My only worry is that when a player wants out from the Cats, the club does whatever it can to get them to their club of choice, especially when it's for family reasons. We're a little too accomodating when it comes to trades, so I hope we don't accept a low ball offer from the Eagles just...
Good to see some positivity on here. I'm hoping we see more of the old dreadlock Dahlhaus at the Cats. He'll be a good pick up. If we lose Menzel and Kelly he'll be pretty valuable.
Really, there's not much separating Stanley, Smith and Abbott. None of them will get close to beating Gawn and it won't impact the result too much in my opinion.
No changes.
I'm surprised Jesse Hogan being out hasn't been mentioned more. I think he's pretty important to them. Yeah, they've won without him, but it allows us to pay more attention to Tom McDonald. Can't see our defense letting them kick a massive score, so hopefully we're on down the other...
Our post bye rubbish we serve up every year needs to stop.
I'm not sure whether the Dogs result last week will work in our favour or not. You could say they gave their all last week and lost so they'll be deflated, but I could also see the narrow loss make them hungrier for a win.
Mollison, Meredith and Rosebury. Meredith is the only one we had last week. I noticed they dropped the worst offender Foot so at least the umpiring department is doing something right.
They mentioned a few ruckmen who are dominating the VFL that would be good for us on the TAC show. Pruess from North, Campbell from the Dogs and Longer from the Saints. Pruess would be tough to get, but the other two could be gettable.
There's also been rumours about us chasing Scott Lycett...
