I honestly don’t understand all the hysteria, Stk have offered what they can afford to offer and what they deem Brad Crouch to be worth.. This is why “restricted free agency“ is around.. If the Adelaide football club deems that is a low ball offer and he Is worth so much more, then it should be...
Not sure what games you were watching if you didn't rate Lenny Hayes kicking skills.. Poor mans Rob Harvey, you must be taking the p1ss..
Harvey was a master at the 30-40m kick to a leading forward no doubt, but Hayes kicking as previously stated was underrated and he was a fantastic kick of the...
I think Stk have stated all along that pick 5 is too much in a direct swap, hence why we were trying to do a deal involving pick 5 with Adelaide to get there 9 and 13 and forward one to Ess and keep the other
Ess want pick 5 for Carlisle outright, too much in my opinion.. Ess would win
Stk now want Carlisle along with 23 & 25 for picks 5 & 63. Stk would win
I think it will end Carlisle and 25 for pick 5= fair for both clubs..
I hope we hold firm.. We want players that are committed to playing for Stk, not ones that will change their minds every second day.. We have taken a stand by saying Carlisle isn't worth pick 5 and most on here agree..
Haw are in a totally different position to us, and are trying to take full...
if we are all about winning Sandringham next years flag then trade in Aaron Young, otherwise it's a waste of time.. Good contested ball winner, but another with horrendous skills which we already have enough of.. I could only see us going for him if Seb is part of the Carlisle deal, otherwise I...
I think too many people get in their head that quantity is better than QUALITY!!
The club stated that pick 1 is on the table, but a very attractive offer that we couldn't refuse is what it would take..
I would take pick #1 over 4&7 every day of the week, because I feel there is a top 3, then a...
If we get 4,6 and 7 in a deal for 1&21 then I'm sure we would jump at it, but to suggest sliding from pick 1 to 4 is not a big slide in regards to quality I disagree.. Petracca down to Wright is a massive slide in my opinion..
If we could guarantee McCartin at 4 I'd be happy, but can't see him...
I am disappointed to see Stanley go.. A 23 year old who has finally got his body right and starting to show the potential that he has.. Perfect age for a key tall and I think he will have a very good career at the Cats..
A guy over 200cm and pace to burn, I can't see the logic in us trading...
I'm not overly happy to trade Stanley out to be honest.. Yes he has been frustrating, but he finally has got on top of his injury issues and is starting to show some of the potential he has got..
A 23 year old at his size and pace is extremely rare, and I have a feeling he will end up a pretty...
Not liking these developments at all.. Stanley finally getting his body right and starting to show some of the talent he has, and we want to offload him for another speculative pick in the 20's.. Guys his size and pace don't grow on trees, so I'm not surprised a few other clubs would be very...
Agree.. At his best, 2013 definitely..
Anyone that can beat Reiwoldt and Joey in our B&F when they play decent years comfortably would be in Melbourne's top 2.. I'd like to hear which melbourne player/players other than Jones would possibly be better
Great post.. Too many are fascinated with the idea of having 3-4 picks in the top 20 and let's face it outside the top 5-10 everything else is extremely speculative.. If an unbelievable offer comes of course you consider, but I find it amazing how eager most on here are willing to offload Armo...

Doesn't wow me either, only because we miss getting one of the big three and I'm not a big fan of Wright!!
If we could guarantee McCartin at 3 I'd take it, but can't see the top 3 deviating from Petracca, Brayshaw and MCCartin.. If doing that deal means we are left with Wright at 4, I'm more...
I agree to a certain extent.. If that trade does happen I'm not overly worried about the dropping from 6 to 7, but dropping from 3 to 4 is substantial in my opinion.. Petracca, Brayshaw, McCartin are easily the top 3 in my book and I'd be happy with any one of them.. I don't rate Wright anywhere...
That's the perfect example... If the roles were reversed and GWS had pick #1 and we had pick #4, no way would I want our club to entertain us trading either Billings or Jack Steven plus pick 4 to get Petracca!!
Petracca could be great, but Melbourne and the GWS thought the same about Scully too!!
I think if we do happen to trade out pick one there are going to be a lot of disappointed people if this is anything to go by!!
Cameron would take our first two picks at minimum and that would still not be enough, so some of these suggestions are pointless.. Sheil and 4 likewise has absolutely...
Of the utility type guys I'd personally have them
1. Sharenberg 190cm (should be a top 4 pick in my opinion, probably more 5-10 draft day)
2. KK 188cm (I'd have him 6-10, probably goes 4-5 draft day)
3. Bontempelli 191cm (like KK I'd have him 6-10, probably goes 4-10 draft day)
4. Lennon 187cm...
If Coll take Freeman at 6, the myth of Derek Hine being the godfather of recruiting as some like to believe will be put to bed.. Freeman has impressive combine numbers with his explosive pace and good endurance but it doesn't translate to the football field enough to be taken top 6.. Boyd...
Agree with this.. Mark Williams has to be the logical choice.. Kingsley may eventually be a great coach, but it's too big a risk to take with the situation we are in.. Let him further his apprenticeship under Choco and he will get his chance eventually.. My worry for someone like Kingsley...
Our club needs to weigh up whether they consider Mav to be a best 22 player for our side as of next year.. I think if we had a list spot available, it would be a no brainier to take him as a delisted free agent because its extremely low risk.. Our problem is having to delist someone in contract...
Not necessarily.. This year is a very shallow draft and quite a few clubs may want to only take the obligatory 3 picks.. I'm sure there would be a few that would happily take Weller as their 3rd pick if it falls in the late 50's, early 60's rather than whatever is left in the draft pool at that...
