I have been reliably told by someone who works at one of the WA clubs that Ian Hill has done a Chad Wingard and wont be leaving WA or if drafted out of WA, will be returning as soon as contract finishes
I think Pies will select Naughton at pick 6. My conspiracy theory is, we pick key defender knowing Tom Lynch is coming next year through free agency or, we select best key position fwd, Fogarty. Thoughts??
I'm big on Starcevich. Reminds me a little bit of a B Maynard, agressive and reasonably good by foot.
I'm still curious to see where Bonar goes. I reckon between 11-20
What would the chances of Collingwood using our picks on the following:
Round 1 - Pick 6: Fogarty/Balta
Round 3 - Pick 36: Starcevich/Bonar
Round 4 - Pick 54 N Answerth Pick 59 Hore
Round 5 - Pick 78: Giro/Quigley
Is Milera capable of being anything like a Rioli or a Betts? Is there anyone who could fill a void to Coll small forwards? (Yarran from WA)?
If...and I mean if StK offered pick 5 (I know they will be stupid to do so) to Coll for pick 5, would Pies go best available or go for a Weidemen or a Curnow?
Assuming Collingwood will be using our first round pick on either Treloar or Aish, we will probably get Bris 2nd round pick in the mid 20s. Could Coll possibly get Dunkley?
Who are some competitive/aggressive players in the 20-50 range?
Knightmare....stoked to get DeGoey and Maynard, addresses competitiveness and can hit the scoreboard. I don't know much about Goodyear.
I hope Pies rookie Peter Bampton or a Tyler Keitel or a Josh Glenn. Your thoughts on who we rookie? I have a feeling you will say Nic Newman :)
As we have...
KM - herald sun are saying Melb might not take Petracca and take Wright instead at pick 2 or 3. Do you think GWS would take Petracca at 4? Would Collingwood take Petracca if by some miracle he slipped to pick 5?
We need contested ball animals regardless of height. Must win own ball, be able to run both ways and kick.tick..tick..tick...then pick those types please Hine. Im sure Hine will pick 4 rippers regardless of our opinions
I'd say a defensive forward might be the go later in the draft assuming Blair pushes up to the midfield. Snoop- what player/s would suit? Would a Dean Gore suit Collingwood running off half back?
I reckon Collingwood's kicking is a weakness, Bucks addressed the need for two way running and I personally think we need more aggression, hence DeGoey for more grunt, Miller would be good like a sidebottom roamer up and down the wings, I like his finishing and is meant to be a good character...
Would love DeGoey at pick 5 and Touk Miller at 30. Cavka at 48 and Boekhurst at next pick
I reckon Miller will be taken by Pies due to decision making, can play hbf but see him as a forward centre type of player
Who was the other key forward for Vic Metro who played along side Darcy Moore? Was it Peter Wright? Who were the two key position forward who had all Australian honours? Is it "plausible" that Collingwood picks it's spine this draft?
