I think it's been in multiple news reports too. Not just a BF thing.

It's funny. Lots of things appear in the media, after being discussed on Big Footy for a couple of weeks or months. One could be forgiven for thinking that more than a few "journalists" read Big Footy for their stories.

Trust me, Dow was being discussed on here long before it made it in to print. So to Charlie Cameron moving to Brisbane from Port.

Regardless, I'd be happy with Dow if that's who we go with. Is a gun but in my mind LDU is undoubtedly the better prospect so I'll be stoked if Brisbane passes.

You better hope Rockliff re-signs with Brisbane then, otherwise you're not drafting either.

If Brisbane go LDU do you think Gold Coast will go Dow or someone else?

Hi KM, who do you see the saints selecting with picks 7 & 8 now that it looks more likely that they will be taking these two picks to the draft?

I haven't been watching under 18's as closely as years gone by but from the limited footage and games I've seen, I have been impressed with Higgins and Coffield. Will these two be good fits for the saints? Is Darcy Fogarty a chance to slide to our picks? Do you feel he would have the scope to develop into a gun mid?

Higgins may be one around that mark.

Fogarty, Stephenson may be other considerations. Depends who is there.

Coffield could be a possible, though it's not yet clear he goes top 10.

Fogarty's draft position is unclear at this point playing little footy and playing hurt when he was out there. He could go top 5, could drop to 10ish. Club evaluations will vary.

Knightmare is it getting more likely Brisbane will move on Dow and take LDU? Heard anything?

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed they still love Dow because I want LDU at pick 2. Is a jet.

Many have speculated Dow, but LDU has to come into the mix after his performance last weekend.

Dandenong are still playing, so if LDU replicates that performance, he may become favourite for that selection in a hurry.

What would the chances of Collingwood using our picks on the following:

Round 1 - Pick 6: Fogarty/Balta
Round 3 - Pick 36: Starcevich/Bonar
Round 4 - Pick 54 N Answerth Pick 59 Hore
Round 5 - Pick 78: Giro/Quigley

Why would you want to do that when the top dozen this year are so even?.....Makes no sense.
Because there are two players, one of which will likely be available at 6, Stephenson or Coffield, that suit Brisbane's requirements far better than the players likely available at 12. Pick 18 is more likely going to be used to match on bid on Ballenden.

Pick 36 and pick 41 should be enough points to match a bid on Ballenden (looking at you Richmond) from late in the first round. Our downgraded pick can still be used to match a late bid on Jack Payne from our academy, as the bid should come in late enough that the automatic discount will have wiped out all the points. (Any bid from pick 56 or later is basically a free hit, as the discount is greater than the points value of those picks).

Totally agree, take Ballenden out of the picture and I think we'd be more than happy to take 12 + 18 to the draft over just pick 6. However knowing we've got Ballenden, looking to upgrade to a slightly more appealing option would be great.

Coffield is someone I've only given decent thought to over the past couple of days, good height, great pace, great disposal and really started to lift his contested possession late in the year. Someone who would appear to have really good potential, also another with a November birthday.

Yup. Coffield, Witherden and Cox would set up our run out of the defensive 50 for the next decade. LDU or Dow with our first pick adds to our young midfield brigade. Ballenden and Payne rounds out our young KPP's. Then we can look to draft mids and small/mid forwards in the next few drafts.

Would Collingwood swap 6 & 36 for 12 & 18?
Personally I'd look at 6 for 12+18 which Brisbane still get a kick out of by having two top ten picks and still being able to get Ballenden, but I couldn't trade pick 36 too. I'm dead split on whether we should keep pick 6 or not. I see Coffield as an elite talent and one we desperately need at #6 but having #12 and #18 offers flexibility and might allow us to select a tall in Balta and a specialist like O'Brien who could provide speed and rebound. I really don't know what I want the club to do. At the moment, I'm leaning towards pocketing #6 and selecting Coffield. #36 could hopefully be Sam Taylor or Harry Petty or somebody like that.

Hey Knightmare where do you see Balta being taken in this year's draft? Early or late teens perhaps?

In a decent position either way, getting someone like Coffield or being able to trade down and have two bites. From our perspective I think we will need to accumulate points in any trade up, or we will run the risk of taking a defecit into next year.

With Geelong and Richmond getting through this far, it's great for us as we will have the most attractive package. Hoping we can make a deal with you or Fremantle to get another high end talent.

I'm big on Starcevich. Reminds me a little bit of a B Maynard, agressive and reasonably good by foot.
I'm still curious to see where Bonar goes. I reckon between 11-20
