Any predictions for the quarters?
Pakistan v West Indies
India v Australia
New Zealand v South Africa
Sri Lanka v England
I can't see any upsets occurring. As much as it pains me to say, India will be too good.
India are clearly favourites but then anyone can still win on their day.
Either South Africa, Sri Lanka, Australia and England could take it out. I have a feeling Pakistan are the darkhorse but I don't know how they will go in the knockout stage.
I've always rated Dane Swan. Very reliable.
Didak is a dead-eye too.
Beams is an absolute ripper from the 50 metre arc, but like some of the boys can be wayward closer he gets.
FOX Sports is the best, chuck out the rest! :thumbsu:
I watched a bit of that England-Netherlands contest. It's fair to say India won't be quaking in their boots at playing England.
At his age I reckon Mick would be keener taking a backseat. I don't think anything would be motivating him to coach again having been in the caper for 30 years, coaching West Coast to two premierships and Collingwood to one as it stands with a second one in his reckoning. If that eventuates he...
Re: Nick Maxwell's Captaincy- A review and discussion.
There was no doubt about the decision in the end. Maxwell was head and shoulders the best candidate for the job and even 20 year old Scott Pendlebury was preferred over Fraser.
It's unfortunate Harris got injured in the test series. He would have been in my line-up, look at his career record in ODIs, his figures are as good as anyone going around.
Tait is an option at the World Cup. He can be erratic but he bowls a good in-swinging yorker at the death. His 2007...
I thoroughly enjoyed being at the ground and watching the Aussies belt the Poms. The whole crowd were behind Australia, in particular Shane Watson, the roar when he brought up his ton was electric. Well done Shane, one of the finest knocks I've seen in ODI cricket. :thumbsu:
Fremantle train harder than Collingwood, so says JA
My old man told me John Anthony said this week his new team Fremantle train harder than the reigning premier Collingwood. He said he saw it in the papers but I couldn't manage to find it, so I was wondering if anyone read it could post the...
Now that the ashes series is looming to an abrupt end I'm getting ready for the upcoming ODIs.
Can we bounce back and win the CB series or not? Who has everyone got in their side?
Mine is:
Watson
Haddin
Hodge
Clarke
White
Hussey
Smith
Johnson
Doherty
Lee
McKay
Hodge could come into...

I've always held the MVP in high regard. The name of the trophy brings prestige to the award, looking at the list of winners that have won it, it's just as impressive as the Brownlow. The Brownlow will always be "the night of nights", but the MVP is also a great award.
I always get excited for test cricket in Melbourne, but this is definitely the most excited I've been for a Boxing Day test since 2006, when Warnie tore through the Poms on his way to 700 test wickets.
Who does everyone reckon will play? Personally I hope Beer's a certain starter on tap. Watto...
I wouldn't drop Hughes. If we lose this test I'd keep playing him for the rest of the series, give him as much experience as he can get, with the likelihood that Katich may never play again. At least he's shown he can play so he's worth getting right in the short term.
BTW, Hill is the same age...
Re: Swan keen to stay a Pie (bu bu bu)
Onya, Dane. :thumbsu:
However, I don't think GWS will lose any sleep over it but instead turn their attention to someone like Dale Thomas, even Sheeds is impressed by him calling him a "magician" in one of his articles.
I don't understand your...

Nathan Hauritz should also be considered seeing as he still bowls well in this form of the game.
Ponting retired, Clarke gets the captaincy from Ponting and White his deputy.
I had Khawaja in my team for the first test in Brisbane. His form has been as good as anyone in first-class cricket and that 100 he made in the Ryobi Cup against South Australia was one 'out of the textbook' (albeit on a flat pitch). If we lose in Perth I'll be surprised if he doesn't come in...
I can't believe none of them brought up Maxwell's gripe about playing another game. We probably wouldn't have won the flag hadn't the replay went ahead.
What did he call it again... "An absolute joke"? ;) :p
Fremantle F.C - who are they and what have they achieved?
I can understand if you're a West Coast supporter, but this baffles me considering Fremantle are still yet to win a final away from Subiaco.

Try this link to follow scores. Hill and White at the crease with Victoria 1/46 after 23 overs.
In a bid to regain the Ashes and he loves bowling at the WACA. There's enough to justify selecting him.
Apart from Siddle in one innings this summer, who's looked like getting wickets?
Chris Tarrant immediately comes to mind from the group with the hunger Mick is talking about. Maxwell commented glowingly on him and couldn't be more happier with his attitude. I'm sure he won't be the only one with the hunger to be a member of this team, others who missed out on the flag will...
