Ward and Lewis both back at training this morning.

Extra Box Hill guys were Wynd, Hall and Arundell. Adduci also had some very good moments in the match simulation.

Morrison in the best 3 players during match simulation today. Sicily and Howe probably the other 2. Shiels, Impey and Hardwick all very good.

Morrison is not soft and doesn’t play soft. If you look at how the game is evolving and who we have competing for wing positions, it is becoming more and more about winning contested ball. The players with real leg speed and line breaking ability set up on the half back flank.

Jed Rule was in 56, Blanck in 54, Greene in 53, Ed Phillips in 42 and Adduci started in 38 and changed to 29 during match simulation.

Damien Mascitti and David Mackay are doing the backs, Clinton Young is midfield and Cam Howat is forwards. Andy Ottens is Senior Assistant and Clint Proctor Senior Coach.

Mascitti was there in a coaching capacity. Jed Rule was there as one of the players.

Hasn’t been able to do much since they returned. Missed the first couple of sessions and in the rehab group after that. Monday was the first time he was able join in the main session.

Ed Phillips has also trained as another Box Hill listed player.

Adducci also trained this morning.

Kosi is the craziest of them all. Don’t think our forwards will care.

Nash and O’Hara both trained this morning with the main group.

This. Impey is in great shape. Was one of the best in the shuttle running today. Has worked extremely hard to get back to full fitness.

Both Nash and OHara will be in Australia later in the week. Have been delayed while they both recover from CoVid.

Prior to Christmas both Nash and OHara were going to be in Australia for the first session back. It’s possible the current Covid situation has changed these plans. Wonder whether Nash has returned yet or is still in Ireland. Will see tomorrow.

Has been working as a small forward mainly along with Saunders and Brockman. He looks best though when he works up the ground and is able to get on the outside and use his pace and kicking skills. Can see them using him up forward with stints further up the ground initially. Doesn’t have the...

Fergus Greene joined Hawks training today.

Lachie Wynd is the son of Stuart Wynd that played for the Hawks under 19s / Reserves in the late 1980 so has a Hawks connection. Lachie played in the Box Hill scratch match with Carlton and the Kangaroos last year during the bye weekend. Sam Mitchell was pretty impressed with him.

Callow is still doing lots of work as a forward. Maybe a swing man opportunity but not pegged as a defender.
