Agree Forest. They need to retain every number they have and find another 30 to survive on their own. Leaving Bendigo helps but does it achieve those numbers?
Was there Saturday. He was thrown to the ground and either hit his head or had a knee dropped on him. Has to be a lengthy suspension. Was out straight away. The decision made by the umpires to throw the ball in while he was 2 meters away unconscious was as stupid as it gets.
Agree with the back up comment. Coaches get all of the opposition stats and vision - great insight into strengths, weaknesses, how they score, how they are scored against. I speak to a few coaches that use it and they love it.
I realise it's trendy to only be negative on here but at least try and understand something before you pop off. These stats are the greatest tool country footy coaches have ever had. Not necessarily the possessions stuff the paper love but the other data is incredible.
Good discussions happening here. I do wonder though should equalization tools be used to build and improve the bottom clubs or reduce the talent and/or depth of talent at the top clubs?
if you play more than 11 VFL games you're ineligible regardless of how many BFL games. A mate's son plays for Gisborne and this is what he was told last year.
No issue with a Friday night game but when you then add in returning the next day and potentially Sunday as well for some involved in the club it's a fair ask you'd agree? Volunteers are spread thin at all clubs.
Nothing to do with Bendigo clubs. I'd be thinking the same if Castlemaine or...
The more ideas and discussion the better but it's tough to get a club to travel to Castlemaine on a Friday night with trainers and players having to get there at 5:30 straight from work and then get them to back up and do it all again the next day and then potentially junior footy Sunday.
