I understand that the B Grade to 1 day games proposal didn't get through, but C Grade will now play 40 over games during the season and 50 overs in finals.
Would this be the same list that finished at least one game clear on top of the B Grade ladder and were only just pipped at the post in one of the best finals we have seen in this competition?
Sounds like it must have been an absolute ripper of a game. Both teams were really evenly matched and were certainly a step clear of the rest of the pack in B Grade.
It will be an absolute shame we wont get the chance to see such a riveting final in the B's again if clubs take the soft option...
Surely this hasn't been set in stone, it would need to be passed at the Association AGM wouldn't it.
What are peoples thoughts on the pros and cons of such a move?
"We've been in the bottom four for three years in a row, we've slid, and there's a total understanding that perhaps Essendon has been a little overrated in recent times and a sense we've got to rebuild our credibility," Jackson said.
Didn't we finish 12th this year?
I'm sure that the SDCA would love to have Heathcote step up to A Grade once again. I think that a bye in the A Grade can be a good thing. Sides wouldn't get to play each other twice, but that hasn't been happening in recent seasons anyway.
