Finals are what we do best......Havent won one since the Prelim against Sturt in '08, have lost our last 4 or 5 from memory. Which includes a GF loss and straights sets in '09. God help us.
Hard one to read, in and under he is great, but apart from a lead up option on a wing/centre square he seems one dimensional.
Thought he played a good game tonight, but is easily turned without the footy.
Westies looked like they would run away with a 10 goal win at quarter time. Apparently Bays coach Mark Stone gave the boys a rev up to end all rev ups at quarter time and they responded by kicking 4 goals in 8 minutes, and ultimately running out winners by 4 goals.
Bays go to the break 2 and 4...
Occasionally Gibbs throws the ball on the boot and bombs it forward, but geez that would be the only knock on his game.
If Laird wasn't having a career year, he would be leading our B n F.
Looks like Mcleods lad has been playing ressies for WWT this season. Not sure how old he is now, but would be interesting to see if has any of his old mans class.
Weird day of footy, Westies turn around a 140 point loss and win out at Elizabeth. Eagles and Port battle out a draw, where the Eags don't kick a goal until the last quarter. South beat Adelaide. The mighty Bays surprise all and comfortably knock off the legs. I say comfortably but it was...
On the flip side, appeared to be a lot more than 2k at the bay Friday night, would've guessed closer to 3k-3.5k, Hard to tell with one grandstand missing.
The most cringeworthy moment of the night was when 50 or so Port fans started the Power chant.
Id say a GF loss would do more damage than this.
Granted it was a poor loss, and probably hurts more after the year we had last year, but Jesus lets not go crazy and sack all and sundry.
Pyke will regroup and we will learn from this.
This is one of the reasons I stay away from the board after a loss.
Take it for what it was, a bad loss. The sun will come up tomorrow and we go again Friday.
