It was Umpire Black that did the rep game. While there is a division 1 panel, any umpires on that panel would be considered for the game. Wont be the same story come finals, the best will get the best games.

This has been high on our agenda with our coaching sessions and umpires should be further from play, to open up their field of vision. Trouble is perhaps like clubs, we only see the top blokes and then some of the seconds umpires who come to training, coaching and lectures.

Fair call, only responding to a comment posted stating the umpire doubled up. To answer another question: If the abusive is minimal, then a warning should be given. However, if it is serious abuse then a warning does not need to be given. Not being at the ground I can't qualify what was said...
