Lions Finals Ticketing Information - No more Collingwood supporters seeking tickets!

My Pies diehard friend reckons she's sitting in amongst their cheer squad at that end. (Lions cheers squad was at that end in the Hawthorn game). I'm in Q35 row D so reasonably happy with that. Was deflated after I saw I got a Cat 4 with a Priority 1 membership but this looks alright.

Umpiring The Purpose Of Boundary Lines - Pies v Cats Game Discussion

Different boundary but this one did the GF last year

Umpiring The Purpose Of Boundary Lines - Pies v Cats Game Discussion

I don't know whether they do or not, but in this case I would guess the boundary umpire might have confused about who's free it was and the field umpires were more concerned about the Collingwood players encroaching into the "protected area".

Preview Round 17 - Brisbane Lions v West Coast Eagles - Saturday 8 July 2023 1:45 PM @ The Gabba

They actually think Gunston is going to play any better after 2 or 3 weeks off ?. He might kick a couple of cheapies against the WCE Reserves. The forward line has functioned way better without him. He offers absolutely nothing. Continuing to play him is detrimental to our finals chances...

Analysis What is wrong with the SCG security?

Security's zone wasn't set up properly for the ground dimensions last night especially give the pace of the Invader. They'll review as a group & learn from it.

Review Round 10, 2023 - Brisbane Lions vs. Gold Coast

Gunston got at least 7 cheapies (a mark & an effective disposal which generally went 15 metres backwards) in the last quarter. Stats are garbage.

Review Round 8, 2023 - Carlton vs. Brisbane Lions

Check out the jobs & ages of the umpires. You have accountants, IT & management consultants, engineers, executives in large companies, lawyers (one was actually a barrister), school teachers/ leaders, businessmen etc. Like they are going to give that career prospect up to go full time. Like they...

Unofficial Preview Changes / discussion v Bombers Round 9

Yep Sharp especially played much better on TV with his ability to run both ways. I would give him another game & see what he can produce. Only option for Prior (who I rate) is to drop Wilmott the cult figure. Definitely play Answerth next week given Bombers small fwds. Lester was fine, so his...

Review Round 8, 2023 - Carlton vs. Brisbane Lions

Supposedly said (re that) 1. don't go out of your area (which any junior coach knows) & 2. don't glare at the emergency goal umpire

Definitely wasn't hard to get a seat on the train AFTER the game

    Changes/discussion v Carlton round 8

Unfortunately Gunston will stay in as Fages doesn't like change. Lester showed he is miles better than Joyce. For a couple of cms I would retain his footy smarts unless they think Gardner is fit/ ready instead. Joyce however, could be a handy sub in case our defence falls apart against their...

MRP / Trib. Jeremy Cameron makes contact with umpire while celebrating a goal

No. The is umpire running to the goals to collect the ball as instructed & after play has stopped & the Field Umpire has signaled All Clear. He would have done that thousands of times before. There is no reason here why the umpire can't be inside the boundary line under these circumstances. He...

    Grand Final 2k time trial

If Blicavs didn't weigh 100 kegs he'd lap them based on his athletics perfomances before he started in the AFL. Assuming he hasn't put on too much beef, Harry Sharp would be my pick now.

    Training 2023 Pre-season thread

With Pendles stepping down, would it be a good time for Zorko to do the same thing and hand over the baton to Neale or Harris ?

    Training 2023 Pre-season thread

I'd rather play Daniher like a Lever role and play 2 ruckmen

Opinion Who are the AFL's best special comments experts?

Daisy & Lyon. Honorable mention to Big Jon Brown.

What's the most surprising thing you learned about a current or former player?

Mark was actually a far better cross country runner but he grew way too tall and had to try the steeple and the 1500 to try & Make the 2012 olympics

Unofficial Preview Changes and Discussion - Dogs round 16

Don't post much but for game vs Western Bulldogs ... Bailey in for T Berry. (IMO he has no future> he struggles to get a kick even in the Ressies) Zorko in for Robbo (he is done. OK got 2 goals through experience but otherwise ineffective) Forte in for Hippy (Hippy adds nothing in current form...

Autopsy 2022 Round 5 Melbourne Demons v GWS Giants @MCG, 7:45 PM Saturday April 16

Neutral here. I went for a look see on Saturday. It struck me that you have about 10 plodding mids, hardly any spark, no plan for moving the ball or up forward & only Taylor, Ash and your ruckman stepping up. (Ignoring Bruhn & he new guy). Reckon Kelly looked a bit disinterested. Can't believe...
