Hippy is not even remotely soft - hits the ball very hard and always gives a contest.Only issue with that post is that Hippy doesn’t have footy nous and is pretty soft most of the time.
Would struggle massively down back

Can't agree with any of that. Hippy shows plenty of aggression, more than McStay or Daniher do/ did imho. Further it takes far more footy 'nous' to play as a decent key forward than it does as a key defender. Hippy played plenty of footy all over the ground as a junior as far as I know. I'm sure he could handle the switch. But I wouldn't want him to anyway.Only issue with that post is that Hippy doesn’t have footy nous and is pretty soft most of the time.

Just goes nicely with Dunkley becoming our 2nd ruckman in the side nowI think Hippy would make a fine defender, if any of Harris, Payne and Dizzy get injured. Our lack of KPD depth with Adams potentially out is worrying.
Agree, this constant whingeing and moaning about, what amounts to 30-45min drive is getting a bit tiresome. We live in modern urban cities and we are subject to the vagaries of traffic, road congestion and myriad of other issues. Our cities are sprawled and major cities may have a radius of 100kms.You are kidding right? You have to compare traffic to relevant traffic which is basically Melbourne. Let’s say you live in Toorak and you want to drive to Richmond for training. This like 5km and to drive it in peak hour, you are looking at 45 minutes already anyway. If you are at Essendon and want to live in the nice part of Melbourne in bayside, you are looking at up to 2 hours and tolls to get to training in peak hour. This commute thing is nothing in Brisbane to Springfield.
Definitely has the aggression fine but a bit like Daniher we probably dont have a real bash crash physical key forward to go for every contested mark. That side of physicality is probably the only thing we dont have as a forward. But then again looking around the league there's not that many that can do it at a good enough levelCan't agree with any of that. It does seem like a hell of a lot of money but when averaging it out it is only $31 per ticket but it is a massive outlay. The boys better be training hard. Just paid the family membership and it cost $1715. Works out to be $155 per game for this family of 5. Time for a premiership. Does make me question if I would be willing to fork out this kind of money if we were going crap.
I pay in one lump sum. Like others, I am in the fortunate position to be able to just pay and forget about it. Was just having a whinge due to constant outs in my household, just like everyone else at the moment! It does seem like a hell of a lot of money but when averaging it out it is only $31 per ticket but it is a massive outlay.
Do you pay by the month or one lump sum?
Yeah for sure. Although at the end of the day, as long as we play to our strengths we should continue to be a very dangerous forward line. More kicks out in front/ into space when moving the ball quickly.Definitely has the aggression fine but a bit like Daniher we probably dont have a real bash crash physical key forward to go for every contested mark. Daniher has the size and strength to have a lot more impact physically and I still haven't given up hope that we'll see it one day. The first thing he needs to improve on is not losing his position in the contest and when he does not to give up on it .Yeah for sure. Yes and no.Just watched some of the footage of the 3km time trial… For those who have been to training, has Sharpy put on a bit of size? Certainly looks thicker across the chest. Seems to be fill out a fair bit!
If I recall, Hippy was a defender in juniors and Harris was a forward, although they may have changed around in the draft year.I think Hippy would make a fine defender, if any of Harris, Payne and Dizzy get injured. Our lack of KPD depth with Adams potentially out is worrying.
I'd rather play Daniher like a Lever role and play 2 ruckmenAnother out of left field option is maybe putting Hipwood at CHB. He would have the athleticism, height & football nouse to make the switch. Although it may be seen as robbing Peter to pay Paul a bit. Then leave Gunston & Daniher & Big O/Fort in the forward line.
I can’t see Hipwood or Daniher having the nous to play as intercepting defenders, the strength or skill/discipline to play as key defenders, or the agility to play as rebounding defenders.
Keep them where they are!
The question is how much you pay for a family of 5 for food and drink over 11 or 12 games if Metricon is includedThe boys better be training hard. Just paid the family membership and it cost $1715. With Pendles stepping down, would it be a good time for Zorko to do the same thing and hand over the baton to Neale or Harris ?
Haven’t seen any listed.
We rocked up to Wednesday afternoons training out at Springfield on the assumption that they’re still doing Wednesday afternoons.
Pretty sure it’s still Monday and Friday mornings.
For someone who’s just used to city metro driving, it’s not a particular nice drive out there.
So everyone I have growled at for criticising the Springfield location and player commutes, I apologise.
Hope the players each get a fuel card.
I’m usually to busy taking a left off ramp, when my gps is telling me to keep right, or vice versa.I like the drive - lots of natural green scrub without buildings.
Very calming.
this happened to me aflw grand final day went back into the city, I lost my mindI’m usually to busy taking a left off ramp, when my gps is telling me to keep right, or vice versa.
