Hampson could be the new Kouta???

Oh, and I am a sorry, but when you take one line out of my posting to be a pedantic smartarse.... like my old lady says, 'if you have nothing good to say, shut the **** up nobody cares to here it!'

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

Hurdling champ at 13-16, chose team sports as was lonely training on his own. Carlton U/19's in comparison to todays TAC Cup drafting pool... miles apart, so Hampson would be ahead on that basis I believe.

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

True, but I think Hammer's hands are better than you think they are.... dropped marks are more youth and confidence based I think. Just type in Shaun Hampson on you tube, and pick 'Hammer', then for a winger role for him pick 'Armfield and Hampson go for a run'.

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

presume that you never saw matthew richardson play his best footy on a wing drifting forward at the ripe old age of 30, and thats the reality...

    Soft Blues

I think that for the above mentioned issues, it comes back to psychological profiling that clubs are now doing on new draftees. Can you handle the heat in the kitchen, essentially. Courage under fire etc... What makes a champion team/player, is it the easy kicks you get when your ten goals in...

    lmao....

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

Haha, will pay that! At a stab, with 27 being 75% of 36 games played, minus the interchange of four as compared to 2 then subtracting the rotations today.... the perfect match compatibility computer says... waiting.... this might take a while...I will go put the kettle on.... white with one?....lol

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

Fair point, but minutes played is more accurate in this case. Kouta well out in front there....
  9. B

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

I believe it just might be...he is a super athlete. And he kicks it a mile on the run or set shot, and blazing down the wing at high-speed with his size, I would not want to tackle him.... Lookout for the freight train.

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

Granted! But how many games did he play in that time, about 55-60? Hammer is still a fledgling in comparison at this stage, and Kouta had a great team giving him a "leg up", and Hammer is bigger and usually take just a little longer to develop. Good call though, I though he was Superman! I was...

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

Agree, have you seen Hammer's attack on the ball and willingness to use his unbelievable physique in a hard but fair and controlled manner? Kouta never intimidated like he should have...lacked mongrel.

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

Did you seriously have hopes that Kouta would be an all time great early in his career either?
  13. B

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

It's NOT particularly.... with that demonstration of wit, I somehow doubt you would have the ability to have an imagination or long term vision. Enough said....

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

Nobody matched Williams by hand in close.... Nobody. Koutas best was a fast, leaping and damaging winger or a RR that marked everything that came his way or took it ground level with a judd burst! Interesting thoughts though, thanks for contributing to the debate.

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

Why not? You seemed interested enough to read and reply, why bother?

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

Interesting thoughts 1EB, Hampson does have time on his side but I do worry a little about a re-incarnation of Big Red, as the game is even faster now than ever.... Jacobs leg speed is a worry as was Lance's, but Lance got the most out of himself due to a super footy brain, does Sauce have the...

Hampson could be the new Kouta???

Does anybody remember the debut of Anthony Koutoufides? An absolute athlete, that was competing against Kyle Vanderkuyp for 110 hurdles title and possible Olympics destination? His footy skills were "ok", not elite though, but his desire to succeed saw him play the most memorable season, 2000...

    The Ruck Debate is Over

UPSIDE has nothing to do with age, keep scratching for an answer, like too slow, shit around the ground, cant jump, scared to kick the pill.... wont more?

    The Ruck Debate is Over

Ha ha.... hilarious! Glad your not on the MC, Jacobs a star for a day.... playing his best NO UPSIDE left in him, give him his 15 mins of fame! HAMPSON a star for 10 years to come! Luckily the MC have a PLAN, unlike yourself... and you know what they say about a man WITHOUT a plan, actually, I...

News Gibbs set to stay *Update Gibbs re-signs for 2 years*

Re: Gibbs set to stay Gibbsy and Gazza in the GC17 midfield..... what a sight! Maybe they could promote skin cancer awareness and work for banana boat, (like juddy for visy) dont think they would handle the sun too well... lily whites..lol

    Review Question on Gibbs.

Should have been on Hodge all day, matches him for speed, can match it in the air, one on one, has better skills on both sides and as a floating forward set free by Hodges unaccountability across half back, could have been a real game breaker. Is Ratten on acid? Seriously, one week match ups...

POTENTIAL GUN...... lacks intensity and consistentcy. Got all the tools....question his desire and willingness to work hard. TALENT means nothing if you dont tap into it and make the most of it.

haha... lucky you! Do you live to work, or work to live though? Btw, for what its worth, I have been a life model for quite sometime now and was at one stage working for lady that ran a business called "Hens Love Art", so my job was not at all boring, quite pleausureable too...

Blues v Hawks Venting thread - keep it all in here

Agree, maybe a lil' harsh on smurf, but his brilliance has been in patches not four quarters. Some argue about his interupted pre-season, should not have played first few rounds then! If you are not 100% fit, do the team thing and withdraw as there are plenty of players busting their arses to...

    Rumour Gay AFL Players

This issue should be left alone, when I go to work I dont care about co-workers after work activities/antics. I do care about their performance at work and thats it.... and a few good laughs never go astray either. I am guessing that it is after hours socialising that is the issue, I dont mix...

Blues v Hawks Venting thread - keep it all in here

Firstly, I dont think the point has been made. How long did we put up with Fev's antics? Already better without him, but wasted a few years of development of other players, which would have made us a better team than we are now. Dropping Waite, big deal, he was underdone and back from a long...

Fair point you make and thats your opinion, and my I will stick with mine. I dont believe in "untouchables", and it hurts a lot to say this, but, look at our arch enemy,(cant bring myself to type their name) they are a bunch of average players, yet are better than us, why? TEAMWORK...
