Happy for him to go. Annoying to watch him against Hawks early when he should have been an important defender given our outs cracking it at a smaller player getting out-marked by his man, literally Hawks only forward in the 50 and Keane nowhere near him leaving someone else hung out to dry.
Reckon it's as simple as he toes the party line. Tells Nicks what he wants to hear. The others might have more self-respect.
Reckon either would have had actual game influence over the last few seasons compared to #4 , Rowe with goals and Knight with possessions and good kick for goal.
Surely the AFL should investigate to save themselves from a future suit when these Port players have issues and they go to sue Port but they've been signed off by the AFL.
Okay, so there's maybe 18 months between them but both mature players.

Why would we look at Brett Turner if we let Riley Knight go??
Can anyone help with what a corporate box at adelaide oval is like? we're usually in the outer but we've been invited for saturday. Dress code? food any good?
Grateful we had such a player playing for us, understand her decision given her history, just hoping there's no trash talking of us now and respect is maintained.
Reckon WB had planned so much for Gawn the changeup to Jackson was pivotal (nullifying him and reading his taps). Do we have a Plan B like that?? Do we have the cattle to have a Plan B? Can TT get as competitive as Jackson (who seems pretty solid) as quickly or do we need a Mac Andrew?
Not 'good' maybe. I would class Hamill recently as 'not good' and i would probably have him ahead of Mackay but MacPherson has ventured into actively bad for weeks in a row and has not had the opportunity to go back (i would not have him as sub as it just continued his poor form with worse...
McPherson certainly shouldn't be in this conversation as hard done by not to be selected. He's been actively awful at times. I was a fan last year but he needs to recapture the class he showed.
i'm not really a Kitto fan but that change killed us. Lopez invited Ikonomedies onto him and played further and further back. then gave him time and space. Kitto's mad runs forward made them defend that side.
A few weeks ago on Sunday morning I saw about 8 of the main list players who'd played in the SANFL on the saturday turn up to PHOS oval. No coaches in evidence, and they did sprints and laps and kicks for a good hour. All in casuals. All nearly tripped by Kieron's retriever.
Fog certainly right...
Sometimes the player needs the kick in the pants that the scrap-heap provides to really grab at the next chance though. They'll have been lauded their whole lives through footy as heroes from school to club, easy to cruise. I see it even at under 12 that the best players - all these guys would...
On Jones, we let Knight go (admittedly son's fave player) who at least would have equaled him in the afl last few games they played stats wise, would have smashed him km wise (providing defensive cover if not having ball). Now Knight is smashing it in SANFL, while sure it's 'only' SANFL but his...
Friend was at the game, nice touch when Jones finally got a clearance and was rundown and caught by some unknown who had 40+ possessions and a goal. Knight I think his name was. Pity the ball doesn't know that Jones was a top ten pick.
That role is used an excuse by posters on here for why Jones and McHenry and Galluci etc are very average to poor but he did better at it than these more vaunted 'talents' and his performance was not rated. He also ran defensively better than most of the team trying to plug holes while...
Not writing off Jones, just don't think can be said he's had no centre time.
He's been very ordinary for the position he was taken in that draft so far, doesn't mean he'll be a bust.
I've heard he's been lauded all season by Nicks. Even through the 4/6 possession games.
if I was players like Seed or others i'd be pretty confused as to what constitutes a good game... seems to be your draft pick only in Chayce's case.
He can get some time on ball when one of the other players is injured, even then maybe pass. He spudded it as fully on ball for weeks, needs to earn it. I want the combinations that have seen us look okay.
Of course it matters.
This isn't park footy and they should 'try harder'.
Do you reckon they get to this level without being driven and competitive?
They're required to follow set programs and if the programs don't have them fit enough and added to that the 'coaching plan' exposes this...
I feel like with our middle boring draft hands we've mostly had, so many of our players have been defined by effort rather than skill/talent and either the car crash of an admin situation/camp or the fitness staff or all of it has sapped that from them leaving them with not much.
Ahead of who? Poholke who's shown less?
He's been selected behind Murphy who's shown less.
And posters don't want players like Ned and Schoenberg played in the graveyard role.
it's confusing how Knight, who has played most of his career in graveyard role that so many posters whine 'ruins' our supposedly talented kids, was a mid-late pick, local, probably not on huge money, playing his first game back from injury and it's his selection or not that will change our...
