The ladder positions belie the respective form lines of the two teams. On form, and with home advantage, I'm expecting the Hawks to comfortably account for us.
An away win to finish would be a major boost for us heading into the off season.
Go Freo!
I'm just looking forward to a game where Amiss and Treacy can come out and absolutely dominate; defying their 20 and 21 y.o. ages!
Go boys - Amiss to notch up 5 for the first time with Treacy getting 3.
Was there and it was the equivalent of a 100 point thumping. The clearest example of a top side taking the foot off the throat you’ll ever see. Pulled Pendles at half time and said to the rest just go and enjoy a run around.
The margin was truly flattering. They should have been 4 goals up at...
Can’t wait for the day Chapman replaces him in the side. That’s worth 2 goals per game alone.
I can see a future for Chapman up the ground but I’m not buying into it yet. - because of this.
Treacy has reverted back to early season form. Missed his very gettable set shots and was dropping uncontested marks. I’m keen to see him keep developing and he has a few more leave passes to use yet, but Kuek is beginning to apply pressure on him for his spot.
Agree - and they have a couple of very handy ins. If Amiss kicks his now expected bag of 3 or 4 goals this week we will have cause to be very excited (assuming he's up against Taylor).
Play him in the same role as when last picked - a bit of wing and a bit of inside mid. Would have added far more than Freddy in the wet and gotten another notch in his experience belt. I’d wager two things:
1. If you asked him, Erasmus would jump at the chance to play;
2. The club has held...
Interesting point. Matty dB was always enormous on a wet day. And yet JLo declined the opportunity to further blood Erasmus on Sat 🙄. Would like to see more horses for courses thinking come in i.e. spell Freddy and bring in players like Erasmus in the wet.
Disappointing game Although we could have knocked it in the end.
But overall pleased we put in a stirring comeback from 36 points down half way through the third quarter.
I would think Amiss will be a 2.5 to 3 goal a game forward from as early as next year. 3 - 4 goals from 2025 so a huge dividend coming from his younger age.
