Agree - and they have a couple of very handy ins. If Amiss kicks his now expected bag of 3 or 4 goals this week we will have cause to be very excited (assuming he's up against Taylor).

You were right about Eddie Ford all along by the way! I remember you being high on him in the draft year of 2020 I think it was. He’s been quite impressive for north recently - very high ceiling type

What an uninspiring team selection. We looked at our best with Treacy, Jackson and Amiss forward.

We are trying Treacy, Amiss, Fyfe / Banfield. It’s a terrible idea.

Flush with inside mids but no outside run. Serong, Johnson, Fyfe, O’Meara are too one paced out of the centre.

Predictable changes. But we have gone back to our poor forward setup of only two talls plus the legion of small forwards. Banfield does not play like a third tall. Sturt has been very quiet, but he is still a much better marking target than Banfield. Banfield only started playing better when we finally went with the Jackson-Treacy-Amiss trio up forward.

Kelly and Taylor are massive ins for GWS. They weren't even playing in their recent games against Richmond and Geelong which stack up against our performances. Their losses this year have been close games and their ladder position is deceptive. Bookies have GWS favourites and I have to agree. Will be very surprised if we win this one.

Not commenting on our side, was very critical of the coach early in the season but happy to back him in for the time being. This is a strong GWS side though, if we win we can be bullish about finals.

I've given up on Sturt getting a proper chance but no Raz is incredibly disappointing, although not surprising. We've never won at Giants stadium and they've got a bloody strong team on paper but we've won 4 of our last 5 against them and will have hopefully shaken off the post-bye rust. Freo by 13.

I’m a holden boy though and through and he’s the only Ford I support I followed him through his u18 games always new he was something just needed a chance

Our stoppage team were beaten convincingly. That leads to down games from wings, defenders and forwards.

If we can get on top or even the stoppages then it will give a better idea of where our wing options are at.

True, and we've only played them in Sydney twice and that was years and years ago. I still tihnk it'd be a nice morale boost to win at a venue for the first time.

I don't feel that way but maybe JL does. 4 good weeks when the team is up an about and then immediate terrible when it's not.
